Teeth Getting better!!

Hi all! Well, I had my 2nd. stellate ganglion nerve block done and when I woke up, I was still out of it! I poured apple juice all over my gown from nodding out, and kept calling my Grandaughter's name?? I was wayyyyyyyy outta it. when my husband drove me home, I slept the whole way. It was so nice geting into my own bed to away. This block lasted a good 15-16 hours. When it wore off though, the pain wasn't as intense as when I had the first block. when the first block wore off I was bawling like a baby!! Anyway, I had some much needed rest and am doing so much better. My PM doctor put a new medicine in this time and it was some good stuff! I hated it when it wore off!! Anyway, like I said I am getting better. I never would have thought these blocks could help so much. Please pray and keep me in your thoughts that I go into remission! Thanks friends! ~Love and~Love, Desi

Desi,

I'm so happy for you. I just know you will continue to feel better and better with each injection. It's amazing that after this time, your doctor has found something with such great results. You continue to get that much needed rest, and hopefully, the next one will last even longer.

Love ya
Mary

Desi,
I am so pleased for you. I hope that you will go into remission. It is always strange when you wake up from a nerve block (I have only had 1 and it didn't work, it caused me to lose my balance)
Anyway I hope you get better soon, but when you do get better DO NOT over do things, because this can make you ill again
Pain free hugs
ALISON

Default Hi Desi,

I am very happy to hear you are getting better with the blocks.

I have said many times on here that I have seen them help people that have had RSD for years and years. I think too now that they have so many more new meds to add to the mix might help people even more.

I hated the way I felt after each of mine. Bill drove me home and I did the same thing you did, slept and slept. I hated the eye droop and sounding like Donald Duck when I talked afterward too but they wear off after a few hours and it turned out to be worth it in the end.

I had 3 and the third one I believe I had a panic attack with and things went wrong due to it not the block. They decided to quit them but the 3 worked wonders.

Good luck to you and I hope that things will continue to go good for you.

Ada

Thank you, Mary! Today, I am full of energy!! I mean, I am cleaning, scrubbing, I even danced with my 7 yr. old daughter! LOL I just adore my Dr. he is the best! I wonder why my other Dr.'s didn't do this eariler?? Well, The first one did three of them without putting me out, no fluroscopy!! This dr. is tying every medication possiable! I wonder if I will need anymore blocks?? don't they do a series of three?? If I keep using this energy up, I will most likely fall on my face! I am using this energy to my advantage, though to get thing's done around here. Thanks again my friend, Mary!!

Hi ya Ali! Thanks so much for your sweet reply, as usual!! Ali, how long were you off balance with your 1st. block? I too was off balance but not for long. Shouldn't you have tried a full series of three?? I am over doing it, I know.. I know, but I have so much to catch up with! My husband helps as much as possiable, but us women see everything. No offence men!! LOL Thanks again, Ali and "Good luck" in school tomorow. Let us all know how it went, ok??

Hi Ada! Thanks so very much!! Your so right about them having new meds, because all that old PMD used was lidocain on all three blocks!! This dr. trys new medication's on every block and he calls the next morning also asking how I am. Donald Duck talk huh?? LOL too funny!! I sounded like him too!! Thank you again so much Ada!! ~Love to all of you lovely ladie's and soft gentle (((((Hugs, Mary Ali & Ada))))~Love, Desi

Desi,
Many thanks for replying. I hope you are feeling better.
I had my Guanethidine nerve block in July and I still have no balance! My PM doctor says that I am putting the balance problem on! why would I do that, when all I want is to get better??? I can't believe some of the rubbish that comes out of their mouths! My bad leg shoots out in front of me without me being able to control it, its awful. I live in the UK so I am not sure how your nerve blocks work, they might be different to ours. My PM doctor wont try another block in the near future because of the problems I had with the last one. Of course I will let you know how I get on at school, please think about me.
Many thanks
Thanks for your sweet words too, Desi
Pain free hugs
Alison

Ali, Your PMD had no reason to say that your putting the balance problem on!! Pure rubbish is "So right on"! What an idiot! So he won't try another one? Thought you were putting it "on".. oh some doctors think that they "Know it all" and don't, really!! Ali, Of course I will think about you. I believe that you will do fine!! I hope and pray that you get to feeling better soon, Ali ~Love ya! Desi

Desi,
Many thanks for your kind words.
My PMD is rubbish - If I was putting the balance problem on why would he be scared to do another nerve block, its like my doctor knows that he caused the balance problem but is scared to admit it!
I am sick of all the rubbish they keep saying about me, my moms trying to get a referal somewhere else because we are that sick of the carry on
I don't trust any of my doctors/physios etc. I only like my OT and my nurse.
Anyway got to go now - I sure you don't want to listen to me go on forever lol
Pain free hugs
