Avery - what the HECK were you doing going cold turkey. Don't ever do that again. No matter what the doctor/nurse says. I guess you've figured that out by now. If you had coldturkeyed Fentanyl you would be dead by now. Please treat these drugs with respect... even if you hate them.
Desi - Fentanyl is a big gun... I've seen it work instantaneously in my RSD friend, literally within hours. unfortunately when she stopped it had an instantaneously horrid effect! (hence my lecture to Avery). I sure hope it doesn't take 2 weeks to build up!! Maybe you could give your doc a call after 5 days or so, if you don't feel any significant relief?
