No a positive reaction is not nessarily RSD.. it could be that there is injury to the sympatheticnerves from your laminectomy and I have heard that a sympathetic nerve block can sometimes help sciatica as well. What symptoms do you have? You can also get senstiivity issues after any nerve injury to your C fibers (I think lol) not just RSD. That said I wanna still say I dont know.. Have you had a three phase bone scan done? that can be helpful with your diagosis. Any injury on an RSD limb realy hurts.. did you feel unusual pain with a needle in the effected leg, or was that where you got the steroid shots? And have you had any swelling in your legs?
