Hi Ada,
Yes ma'am, it was somewhat of a shocker to say the least, but with all the things I have gone through and many different issues that have come up because of the RSD, I wasn't too devastated....now my husband and family...thats a completely different issue. They were all like, WHAT?? Then when the EKG came back abnormal twice, my husband said, "Did you tell the doctor that anything abnormal for most is really normal for you?" hahahahahaha, hes so funny!!
Thank you for you well wishes, and I will let you know how things turn out.
Love, Peace & Blessings,
Marla

Default Hi Marla,

I do hope your test turns out ok. I still don't know if I want to go through those test again. I hated it. I think one thing that made me mad is the hospital and the way they treated me there and also the Dr. was a joke. I didn't like the ideal that they showed me a film of what they were going to do. I'd just as soon not known. I might go so far as the treatmill test and that is it. Do you know what kind of test they are going to do to you yet?

My husband was the same way as yours. He got to the point to where he couldn't keep up with everything wrong with me so he'd just take me to all of my appts. and listen to me tell him afterward and go on. Our Dr. pretty much kept him up on what he needed to do to help me. He councelled us both and that helped. He sure helped Bill through his last days.

My story is way too long but I got sick in 87 and have had 22 surgeries since 95.
I was blessed with a good husband, and daughter and my Dr. Bill took me to every appt. and no complaints, Susan is my caregiver now, and my Dr. has been there for me forever it seems too. He's one of my best friends. I would have killed myself had I not had the support I needed.

I am glad you have your family. That is the best thing to help a person through what people have to go through these days. I always feel bad for people who have no one in their lives.

Do let me know how it turns out. I hope good.

Ada

Hi Ada,

I know what you mean about your story being too long, yours however sounds so much more painful than mine with those 22 surgeries in such a short period of time. My heart goes out to you!!

Yesterday I got really good news from my Cardiologist. I took my Chemical Stress Test, wasn't too bad if you don't mind feeling as if your heart is going to burst and ooze out of your ears...hahaha, but all in all the results were good. I do have some mild leakage, which is nothing major, but I have no blockage and no reason why I can't proceed with the SCS, so on Monday I will call my pain management doctor and see about getting that all set up. But I was so happy yesterday as well as relieved. Felt as if a boulder was removed from my shoulders, and with my Osteoporosis my spine so thankful!! hahahaha. So I won that battle and am on to another....
But I am so ready!!

Thank you so much for your support and prayers, it helped!!

Love, Peace & Blessings,
Marla

Marla, I am so so happy for you that your heart is doing better and you can proceed with yourSCS best wishes ans prayers for you for success.

Ada, Hi, so sorry for your suffering, I m not sure what year you are in with RSD - but I used to be hyper off the charts- i am at 4.5 years of- now, full body rsd. Eventually, I did lay down one of my swords, fighting this , finally really slowed down.

I had too- I was suffering from the level of pain. All the mediation stuff- deep breathing- streching advice I had been given orgianlly and blown off is now critical as we can "choose" in some degree , most days , how far we are going to let our pain go. I hope that makes sense. what I mean is that if I wake up in a level 6 pain instead of 4- to me that know means DANGER- slow down, take an epson salt bath, cancel outing plans for the day if any- do something very relaxing- drink water, chill... before i used to ignore this lean on my meds and go after the day. If I behave I can ususally keep it from going back to a 9. Not always but often. This is very empowering once you get into it. For me it was almost like a slow process of accepting parts of my body BACK, piece by piece. Wow i goT on a role here. thanks for listenting and God bless.!cz

Hi CZ,
You are so right when you say that it is a slow process of accepting parts of your body back piece by piece. What you are doing is just that. We go into denial so often with RSD that we still think we are 10 ft tall and bullet proof when we aren't anywhere close to that. When we begin to get back in touch with our bodies we begin to have a whole new outlook on mind, body and soul. And you are more relaxed while enjoying parts of your life again. I love the way it makes me feel, don't you?
Love, Peace & Blessings,
Marla

Seeing as you can't take the cholesterol meds., have you given any thought to trying cinnamon. I have friends who have been able to control their high cholesterol with it. You get it at the health food store or an online vitamin type site. It comes in capsules. There has been research supporting this but can't remember where. Do some online research then speak with your doc. Hey, it can't hurt. Also, you need the capsules as you need to consume at least 2 tsp a day probably more in your case. Research then talk with your doc. Hang in there! Marilyn
