Hi Ada,
I am so sorry you are going through all those issues. My heart truly goes out to you. I too can relate to what you are going through as far as the heart problems. I had gone to my pain management doc and he wanted to schedule me to have the trial of the Spinal Cord Stimulator inserted, well to prepare for that you have to have your blood work done, other doctors releases, and yes an EKG, well it came back abnormal. So he referred me to a Cardiologist who did another EKG that also came back abnormal. They have done an Echo Cardiogram and I go back on Friday for them to do a Chemical Stress Test on me, and I'm just so excited about, I can hardly wait for Friday to get here...hahaha My cardiologist and I were talking about all the things RSD effects and the one thing I personally never thought about was your heart....it's a muscle, so it makes sense that RSD would sooner or later effect it doesn't it. I for one will be so glad when they find something that will either slow the progression of it down, or a complete cure for it. Anyway, please let us know how things work out for you, and know that we are all praying for you!! Love, Peace & Blessings, Marla RSD Coach TM |

Ada,
That never-ending Drs. feeling can be overwhelming. I remember I flat out quit treatments at one point because I lost all emotional stamina to go back to a doctor one more time (after going to at least 11 different ones for the RSD). Hang in there. I wish you peace and will pray for you tonight. Hopealot |

Thanks for the replies.
Shelly, I did PM you about the Endo and the Cholesterol. I had the Endo and that's why my Gyno says I am going through what I am now. Marla, my chest pain and heart problems started back when the RSD and TOS started. I went through a treadmill test then on to a test where they inject meds into you to make your heart speed up and then went back later to have a test done where it was slowed down. That turned out abnormal so I ended up in the hospital for an Angiogram. Now I am going back again. My Dr. thinks that I am dealing with more problems now due to the stress. I think the stress of losing Bill and then waiting for my kids to get moved so I can rent my house out and even dealing with renting it has all gotten to me. I woke up stressed today and can't seem to calm down. I am also sick at my stomach. That might be from the shots I got yesterday. I guess the RSD can bring on anything. GHL, I have been watching what you have been going through also. I think they need to start treating your RSD instead of arguing over wheather you have it or not. Some Drs. think they know it all and then it is a fight to get them to agree on anything. I do hope they start helping you here soon with the RSD to get it calmed down. Friends2u, Welcome to the group. I am glad you found us and I know you will get some help from everyone here and support. I woke up tired this morning and sick to my stomach. I was laying in bed trying to decide if I want to go through all of this again over my heart. I hated the hospital I was in so I think they are sending me to the Springs this time to a new heart Dr. that they use now. My last one, I didn't like. Thanks again for all of the support. I really am glad that all of you are here. Ada |

I am so sorry you are going through so much stress, that is probably causing the Sympathetic Nerve to be even more over active then it has been. Do you think if you were to take 10-15 minutes out of the day to just sit in silence with your eyes shut and not think about anything except your breathing you would be able to do that? I know for me it helps me very much to be able to have that time just for me....just concentrating on my breathing and relaxing.........it has become the best moments of my day!! Please keep us updated on how you are doing. Ada you are in my thoughts and prayers, and God is sending an Angel to guard over you!! Much Love, Peace & Many Blessings, Marla RSD Coach TM |

That is a good ideal about taking time to lay down and close my eyes. My Dr. stays after me to do relaxation and meditation. He has worked with me on all of that.
My problem is, I am hyper. I cannot sit still for long. If I lay down I start thinking about what I need to do next. My mind never stops working. I always feel like I have a hundred things going on and don't know which to do first. I am going to try and do the relaxation and meditation again. I wish my mind and brain had a shut off button on it. LOL Thanks for your support. I hope that tomorrow your test turn out ok. I bet it was a downer wanting to have an SCS for pain and then find out you can't due to the possible heart problems. Have a good day. Ada |
