mark,

the zonegran was the one that laid me low.....and i do mean LOW.....i was on it for about a month.....i started crying about 2 days into that month and i don't think i stopped till i'd been off it a few days.......don't know about the lyrica....i wasn't even 24 hours into that when i broke out in hives, so i don't know what that might have done......but i do wonder if taking both might exacerbate the effects?....something to check with your doc, i guess, tho since lyrica is so new, there may not be any definitive answer.

hope this week is a better week for you.

Default Hi Mark,

I gained weight on it. I think about 7 lb in a very short time besides the nausea.

I am just now getting the weight off. To some weight isn't important. I bet you look fine according to your picture. With me, I noticed my back problems again along with the GERD and CAD.

IF a person deals with any or all of these problems then you do have to worry about weight gain. I can sure tell when I start gaining too much weight for my body.

Ask the Dr. to try you on something else. It's too bad that most of them cause weight gain.

Here we are today, the country dealing with so many overweight children and adults and then the meds have to add to it.

Long time no see Mark.

*raising hand* I too did the weight gain thing. To the tune of about 25lbs. YIKES!! Way more than I wanted to gain. I would love to loose all that I have gained in the last 4 yrs. I feel like a whale at times. Lyrica also makes me sleepy to the point that I fall asleep watching TV or reading very easily. I must say tho, that since going on it over a year ago, I have slept the whole night thru for the most part.

When it is in your feet, RSD, it is really hard to loose weight. I can't afford to go to a gym to do the weight end of exercise. And the indoor heated pool is too far away to go to 3 times a week to exercise in. My body has gone to soft fabby baby fat again. But when I try to go off Lyrica I can tell the difference in the nerve pain. And I only take 50mgs 3 X's a day. I am also still on Neurontin, 900mgs, 4 X's a day also. Together they work very well.
