I was lost for a long time. Now I'm found thanks to Joselita who PMed me the new place.

I am struggling with your original question. I don't think ENK is the guy you are thinking of. If memory serves - big leap of faith here- ENK's avatar was the blue colored graphic of a city skyline. Can't remember his name.

I remember the picture of a guy in blue overalls. It was pretty much a head shot but I think you could see the blue overalls on the top of his shoulders. The face of a man late fifties, greyish curly hair, wonderful wit and great attitude. Seems to me he was from up north, Canada, perhaps.

I believe his name is John. Love him! Where is he? (love ENK too!)
