Question hyperbaric or HBOT treatments?

HI everyone!

Hope you are experiencing the best possible days you can!

I have a question, has anyone ever had or even heard of using a hyperbaric chamber to treat RSD? I have some info that it is being used in Europe with good success. Since I am so sensitive to pain meds, I have now been taken off of all of them and the pain is unbearable! I willing to try most anything.

If you have any info...let me know.

Thanks a lot!

Can you let us know how often you had the dives and the difference it has made to your pain levels and mobility
I'd be really interested to know how you went on before I start with HBO myself

Hi Tayla,
I hope you are doing well today.
Can you please tell me, did the HBOT help? What kind of side affects did you have? Where did you have it done?

Sorry for so many questions.
Thank you,
Melody

Hi Melody,

I had a problem with Oxygen toxicity with my first dive and had a seizure but I am prone to seizures so it is no surprise.
Yes it did help but as I said my treatment started a long way into my illness and I believe that the earlier the better for this treatment as with most.
The only other effect was general tiredness and boredom caused by sitting still for 2 hours.

Some people have sore ears if they don't learn how to equalise just as you do in an areoplane.
The staff will help you with this.
I have shared a chamber with many people who have RSD/CRPS and nobody reported any negative effects at all, infact most were very happy with the results.
I had mine done at the Hyperbaric Chamber of the Trauma centre of a major public hospital.
Wishing you luck
Tayla

Hi All,
I forgot to mention i had an ear infection from the hyperbaric oxygen. If your ear did not pop or have pain, please tell the tech to go slowly. I had continious pain after the first few treatment and then i found out i had an ear infection.
Take care!

Ali, I will wish the best for you with your treatments and hope you will keep me informed as they go on. Where are you having this done?
I will keep you in my prayers that positive results will come out of this!
