Okay...I had my work comp trial today. I won't bore you guys with all the details but one thing got settled today (not settled like a settlement but just taken care of). The lawyer for my employer signed a document today (I'm not sure if it is the application or what) that my lawyer gave him (and also signed himself) and it says that they agree to pay for all medical costs associated with my ankle for the rest of my life...including perscriptions. I am so thrilled with that. I don't even care what $ amount they end up getting me at this point...all I care about is that the medical will be covered. And that is officially a done deal. So I am very happy right now. And my lawyer seemed very confident that everything went well with the trial, so that is very promising as well. Just wanted to share my good news with people who can understand what a big win the medical is for me.

Congrats!!! I know that has to be a big relief to you. I know there is so much to worry about the CRPS, but I'm sure it's good to know that a least this is taken care of.

Thanks everyone. The medical was the BIG thing that I wanted and it is such a HUGE relief to have that off my mind. It doesn't make up for all the things that I can't ever do again, or the pain that I have all the time, or...well...you all know all the things that we go through that money can never really make up for. But it is one less stress filled thing to worry about. My fingers are crossed that things continue to go in my favor once we get the final decision...but I'm not worried anymore because what will be will be and it's not worth stressing over, you know? Cause...that only tends to lead to more pain.

Catra, Congratulations!! I really needed to read your post today as I had another hearing that resulted in a continuance, I just stood right there in the lobby and cried. This issue has been in and out of hearings since the first of March. It is good to know that the system is working for someone. Thanks for sharing, Lisa

I am very sorry to hear that Lisa. I hope everything works out well for you. I know that every state is different as well as experiences with different lawyers and judges. This has been nothing but a nightmare for me that I am glad is ending soon (at least the legal stuff)...but I will keep you in my thoughts and hope for the best outcome in your case.
