Default I hate the whole medical profession

It's true. I think I have hit my limit dealing with them. OK...I know mine isn't a life and death decision, but still..

My insurance co didn't approve my surgery a couple of weeks ago, so we put it on hold. Well, they approved it last week, and now I can't get a date for the surgery. My dr. isn't calling me back, and I've left several messages. If I can't have it done next week, I have to wait till Oct to have my battery moved. My dr wants to move the battery to my belly, which is a good idea. He wants another dr to do the revision, because the other dr has done several of these, and the leads will need to be longer. Ok...I can deal with that. But I need the battery moved. Hubby goes out of town the week of the 17th, so he will not be here to help me with the horses and all. then in Sept, I have the showers and then the wedding for my daughter. After all the time and money, I'm not missing her wedding!!! I'm going to go and have fun if it kills me LOL..I also called about getting a script for my meds. I can only get up to the hospital every two weeks on a fri. So, that makes it tomorrow. Also asked for an increase in strenght, as what I have doesn't do anything. So of course, no call back. I've spent the whole day in another city talking with the caters, florist, and working on the invites. And , I haven't had internet service for about a week.

Oh well, I guess it could be worse. It would be worse if the insurance co said no to the revision.

Hugs
Mary

Hang in there, Mary! I think we all feel that way at one time or another. For some of us, the bright, caring medical people seem to be few and far between. But they are out there - I just saw one this week. She is so compassionate, it seems like she should have been a bartender instead. LOL

I hope you don't need to postpone your revision that long. I have a daughter's wedding coming up in December, too and I know what you mean about not missing it for anything! I have to be there for "daddy's girl's" special day at any cost! But I certainly would not want to be fresh out of surgery, either. I am going to have a GOOD TIME!

bassman,

congrats on daddy's girl getting married. I think it is harder on dads then it is on us moms. My mom had a saying she used on all us kids.
" a son is a son till he takes him a wife,
a daughter is a daughter for all of her life"

This is my last one to get married. I'm happy for her, and she is the one who always takes care of me when I'm having surgery or a bad flare.

smccoox:

thank you so much for your understanding. We all have such problems with the drs. and all. I don't know how we do it some days.
Hugs,

Mary
