Default Update

I hate the new nurse. She is talking to me like I'm stupid and just because one doctor says its RSD don't make it so. She also treats me like the doctors as if I'm faking it. Thought I was supposed to do PT but turns out its OT again, just at the hospital not at the place I went to b4. The OT is really nice, she said that I'm a triplet to 2 of her RSD patients. So she says the doctor is an idiot. She said she cannot diagnose me but STRONGLY believes it is RSD. I don't go back to see her til the 17th because she is the only OT that goes to the hospital and she won't be there next week. I have a lump that has formed on one of the injection sites. Its pretty big and bruised. That doctor or nurse is gonna like me when I go see him again on the 21st.

Hi Iffynah,
Sorry you got another nurse, not knowledgable in RSD. I know we aren't Doctors, but most of us have read and researched so much, plus talked to so many of the forums, we know a lot of the symptons and variations, which it seems, Doctors and nurses try to fit into one mold. Sounds like you have a good OT.
I've had a rough month, break out of leisons, red dots, itchy rash. I see my Dr again Monday. I am going to start Dr. hunting, mine is moving out of state.
I've read of a few times from people writing into this forum and another that they got RSD from needle injection, actually blood withdrawal. I remember the first blood withdrawal I had after I learned I had RSD, I asked them to do it in my good arm. Now I have it in both arms (not from the needle) what do I do? smile Anyway, hope the best on your next Dr. appt. Will close now, take care. Loretta

Thank you for updating us. I am sorry that you don't like your new nurse . It is so frustrating when doctors and nurses don't understand and are not very nice. I have been in the same situation also, has many of us with RSD have so you are not alone. I really hope you can get things sorted out soon. It sounds like you have a good OT and I am glad she is going to try and help you.

Thinking of you and hope you feel better soon. We are all here for you.

Alison
