Sorry to here that the manipulation didn't work on you. It did for me both times. The third time it was gone for good so I was thankful for that. You have to worry about falling when you have vertigo so you need to be careful.
It's most of the reason I'm so messed up today. I can remember the first time I fell. My head was spinning and it just seemed like everything was spinning around me. Do try it again yourself and it might work the second time. It could also be your glasses as they said. My worry for you is that you might end up falling and getting hurt because of it. Mine hung on for weeks before we figured out what it was. By the time we did I'd done fell several times and ended up so much worse off with my arms, hands and chest. Good luck and I do hope you feel better soon, both of you. Ada |

Sounds to me like ya'll need to go see a NUCCA or Atlas Orthoganal (A/O) Chiropracter. And NO NO NO they do NOT take hold of your head & turn it & then give a twist & 'POP' goes your neck. The way you describe the vertigo/nausea it sounds like it might be the joint in your spine that is out is the top bone/joint of your spine called the "Atlas" It is the one your head actually sits on. If it gets twisted the teeniest tiniest bit around the brain stem you can have Vertigo forever. Anyway the only Chiropracter or Doctor of any type that can or has any chance of adjusting that area of the spine is a NUCCA or A/O Chiropracter. I have been to both types. They barely lay hands on you. So when vertigo/nausea happens to me I go to see Dr G (NUCCA Chiro) & have a treatment & it goes away instantly.
Just my suggestion to ya'll. If you want to stop having to take all those motion sickness pills this might be one way to do it. No matter what you do, good luck. DebbyV |

I had vertigo a couple of times too.
The first time I think was the true motion sickness kind- lasted 2 weeks and was gone. Took Dramamine but still had some problems at work with it. The second time it hit me was a couple months into my RSI/TOS injury. I think that time it was due to the TOS/vertebral artery symptom. GLASSES- I got new glasses at that time too and told them i didn't think progressives would work for me {dizziness} dr said it's all in the fitting and they had the best fitter around - nope dude was wrong! i should have got my money back right a way-but they kept trying to adjust them and I never could wear them longer than 20 minutes at a time. and forget trying to shop in a store looking up/down and all just made me sick to my stomach too. The last couple of times I'm not sure what it was - just quick odd spells of dizziness and a couple of times a faster heart beat along with it {those times it would last about an hour}. But had the full panel of blood tests and a physical - thyroid , blood sugar, vitamins, etc. all came back normal. only high cholesterol- which I knew of already. But after the phys and blood work it went away too. now just once in awhile I get a quick spell- like less than a minute. chiro info links- http://www.upcspine.com/self.htm http://chiroweb.com/
