Grin My computer and I are back

Well, My computer is fixed now, after a month of not having it. The rsd pain has really increased the longer I've been without my scs. It's been almost 4 months since it was removed. I have been thinking about the pain pump, but then again, I'm almost ready to go back to trying the scs again. I just don't know anymore. I swore no more surgeries, but the flares are coming more often and a lot more severe. I know the enemy of the scs, the pump sounds better, but that is an enemy that I don't know. Sometimes I think either one will just about be the same on some level. I don't know. You can tell a flare is working on starting, and I'm hoping with the weather getting warmer this week that maybe that will keep it from happening. Of course, on that theory, maybe an extra large hot fudge sunday would work too. . Ok...still have my humor. Well, wanted to touch base and see how everyone is doing.

Hugs
Mary

Default Welcome back

Welcome back. Its hard to do without our connection to this lifeline. There are so many great people and information here. Sorry to hear of your flares. Me too!! I'm doing too much and the winter.( I really shouldn't complain it has been 84 for days! Only 81 today...
After 20 years, I don't have much advise other than..you'll know what to do. If not..you'll just try until you find the right approach for this time.... of course with your doctors advice.
Keep us posted. I hope you see less pain with the coming spring weather. Welcome Back Di

OMG.....84!!!!!!! it was 6 yesterday morning when I had to go out to the horses to feed. It was soooooo cold. We just had 6-9 inches of snow a few days ago. Of course, by sat/sun, it should be mid 70s here which is great. Sun. I'm going to orientation for the spca to be a volunteer. It's not much, but at least I will feel as if I'm doing something to justify my being here. Not to mention all my animals. I'm now fostering 2 kittens that we found here. they are abt 3 lbs but are 5 mos old. cute as anything. Still I need to get out to be with people once in a while. . I'm sorry you are suffering also. I wish we could find something that would help us more than it seems to hurt us.

Hugs
Mary

Default Hi Mary,

I am glad to see you are getting out and enjoying things. I love horses but believe it or not I'm allergic to them. That's one of the things that came up on my allergy test last year. We use to own some and Susan did 4H. I wanted a couple a couple of years ago but with my arms and hands my Dr. said, " not a good idea."

It is good to get out around people. I have been helping some friends in their stores here lately.

I am glad you are back on line. I know it helps to have support from here.

Feel better soon.
Ada

Hey Mary,

It's great to see you back here - I have missed you and have been wondering how you were doing because I know you weren't that well the last time we spoke! I'm so sorry to hear that your flares are coming more often now and that they are more severe - I really hope you get something to help you soon as you don't deserve to be having to deal with all of that! It's such an hard decision about getting the Pump or SCS and I wish you the best of luck with your decision and I know that you will make the right choice - just listen to your body as you know it better than anyone else and do lots of research and weigh up the pro's and con's before agreeing to do anything that you might not be 100% happy with!!

Thinking about you and hope to see you around more soon!!

I have sure missed everyone here. I feel that everyone here understand how I feel, and when I don't have you all, I feel kinda left out. I also missed finding out how you are feeling.

I have notice one very strange thing. I've had the strangest feeling from the tip of my toes to my lower back on my right side. It is almost as if that part of my body wants to go into a major charly horse cramp, but it stops just short of a true full blown cramp. It has gone on for days, and nothing I do will make it go away. It's the feeling you get about 3-4- seconds before the cramp hits. any thoughts or anything on what it is. THere isn't a position I can get into that helps, no hot showers, baths, everything touching it hurts, etc. All thoughs would be great...

Missed you all
Hugs
Mary
