Default Just my two cents...worth only $0.02

I have to say that while I am totally in favor of looking outside "the box" for that which predisposed us all in the development of this process, I cannot help but feel that tying RSD to either "infections" or "cancer" seems a little broad. There are none of us who know anyone that hasn't had some infection and none of us who do not know someone diagnosed with some form of cancer. Infection by some means is part of being human and cancer is the most common killer after heart disease/cardiovascular compromise. Can we really say that this makes them stastically valid? There are far more who have had these processes that haven't even heard of RSD, much less experienced.
Just wanted to add my two cents, strictly to keep anyone from fearing a process (infection of any sort) over which there is no real escape. Can any of us actually prevent all infectious processes? Can anyone have certainty that they will not develop any type of cancer? No. While certain infections are certainly worth investigation, I can't help but feel that general terms such as "infection" and "cancer" can be misleading.

Of course you're right.

But if an infectious agent can be found then it can probably be treated. My docs mostly think it's ludicrous that it might be a microrganism because they believe it would have been isolated by this time. But I wonder if it might actually be a couple operating in tandem. It's curious that amputation used to be common and be fully successfull in about 10% of cases. In the other 90% it made the disease far worse. This alone seems to imply that the procedure might be interupting the life cycle of something. The fact that the disease spreads is quite curious as well. It certainly seems absurd that an injury might spread to other parts of the body.

Antibiotics seem to suppress symptoms.

I keep thinking that the finger or toenails are involved in most cases.

Default my cheap 2 cents

ok if this some sort of virus or other infection type illness for those of us that have been on repeative antibiotics and not seen any improvement or even made symptoms worse. would you guys consider this as not a infection type response to the autonotic system . as for me and my journey with rsd, antibiotics have cure the current or past infections that i have but not helped rsd in any way shape or form. and as far as the cancer is concerned there is techniquly more treatment for that there there is for RSD . but for those of us that know what caused our rsd ,lets say some sort of trauma how would virus or infection play a role into this. as for me i had many injurys before the intial rsd injury and had no problem with healing or carrying on my normal day to day life

as i said this my cheap two cents and thats all

Dear Angel,

That is alot more to it.

I really care about you. I am in CA, or I would get into my MD.

I will look for a top MD in your area if you like.
Much Love, Roz

Dear Angel,

A PM is not allowed to DX. This is also not a neurosugeon's field.

Much Love, Roz

How about making a new thread with a top doctors list for RSD etc , like the TOS forum has for TOS docs & PTs?

then we can make it a sticky.
I think it would be helpful for newbies and those that hadn't found a good doc yet.
