Hi, I can tell you I've been on almost every med out there. I've been on oxicontin, oximorphine, perc, almost everything oxi and hydr. I haven't been on Fentenal. I've been on morphine, pills, iv, Neuronton, lycra, muscle relaxers, I've also had 2 scs. I've also been on ketamine creams for pain. Nothing seems to help much. I found this new PM and at first I didn't care for him. This 2nd time, it was much better. He has started me on 10mg Opana er 2x a day. I take it at 7.30 am/pm. It seems that 3 hrs after I take the meds, I must sleep for about 2 hrs. Then I am fine. I'm really surprised that it works as well as it does. I really didn't think anything would help. I've been looking into a morphine pain pump as a last resort, that's how desperate I was. Now that I have the Opana er to take, I may hold off on it. I know that it is a med dose, it can go up a lot more. My dr will be upping mine when I see him on the 16th. I do know that there is an Opana ir that can be used for breakthru pain. It's surprising how the pain level is down. The worse thing, and the only thing I have against it, is that it makes me sleepy. Of course, when I'm awake, I have energy and I don't hurt much. There are other side effects, the same as with any other meds, but I love it. It may be worth asking her dr. about it. any other questions just ask.

Hugs
Mary
