I understand your frustration. I take Xanex for anxiety..but it does relax everything else, too. A friend of mine takes Suma (sp?) for back spasms.

Just wondering,
why isn't your doctor thinking for you, instead of the other way 'round?

I use zanaflex, (to help with sleep) and Diazapam in the daytime.
Whatever you end up with,
Just so it does it's job.
And, if you have difficulty with your stomach, maybe your doctor will RX something to go along with his med of choice????
It may take a while, and calls into his office.

Just suggestin'...

Hi Debbie,

Have you given Valium a go, it was the best muscle relaxer I had. Soma would be my second choice.

Like you, I had terriable side effects to certain meds. but these 2 seemed to help me some, without the zombie feeling.

Much Love, Roz

Good luck. I am having major issues with pain and doctor giving me a hard time about meds. Like we all really want to take all this medicine! He makes me feel like a drug addict when I can barely get out of bed. I hope you find something, and post it for all of us to see what may help. Linda

Hello,

I use skelaxin it works for my full body RSD. It doesn't have the side effects that a lot of meds. have. I take .5 ml. twice a day of Ativan for anxiety.
Good luck and I hope you find relief soon!!!!
Take care,
Sherrie

Debbie, I take flexeril & I have intestinal ulcers & it doesnt bother my ulcers. It might be worth a try. It also seems to help me sleep a little better too. Hope you find something to help you.
Have a good day.

I am on Tetrazepam, have been for years. It helps with the muscle cramps. It also puts me right to sleep, so I mostly take it at night. It doesn't help me sleep the night, but at least I can maybe get 2 to 3 hours of sleep. When I have to take it during the day, I take half of a tablet or a quarter tablet (and I still get really sleepy).
