muscles...

umm.... i remember them making themselves noticed pretty early after rsd set in...

there was atrophy in the limb affected....

aches /pains....

since exercise is useful as long as moderated/ done without pushing it into pain ie so you don't end up flat on your back for weeks afterwards or screaming etc....mobility/stretching whatever is quite helpful from the get go....

measurements around initial rsd affected limbs seem to be smaller from the get go ....

i don't know about enlarged muscles? could that be swelling? over use/compensating use? some aspect of the general rsd affect to bones/nerves/muscles/ blood?.....

my rsd leg shrank as i said, gained some of it back though i was told i wouldn't, undersoles of feet have very little muscle.....aches and pains too.... some spread.... some could be attributed to other things....

all in all i'd say muscles are part of the syndrome that rsd is all about.....

Ina
