Glad to hear everything went well before, during and after surgery. She seems to be doing fine. At least she didn't have any pain! I hope Wanda will continue to do well. It's so great to hear that you guys are there for her (that's what you desperately need when you're in a hospital bed: visitors).

When will she see her doc? Did everything go well medically?

Don't forget to take good care of yourself while you're there, Dew. Keep ahead of the breakthrough pain!

Wanda is having a very rough time today. The epidural that kept her pain at bay had complications last night, and she was in intense pain. Wanda is still in ICU, and will be for a few days, and the be placed in a regular room.

I'm so glad to hear from you. You and your sister are beautiful. You will both be in my thoughts and prayer tomorrow. Know we are there for you. call me and let me know how it's going.

Hi Dew,
Thank you so much for letting all of know how Wanda and YOU are doing. I know abdominal surgery is very traumatic and it takes time to recover. Please know you all are in my prayers.
I just want to warn you about sun reflection in the pool, even though you have palm tree shading. My Dr. says it's really important not to get burned. I have before and got red rash. I still use 70 rated lotion-water proof. I like neutragena products. I know it's a blazing here.

I am waiting for Wanda to be placed in a surgical ward floor, and out of ICU. For now, she is still in ICU.

Hey Dew,
How are you? Been reading your updates on Wanda. Thank you very much. Please let her know I'm thinking of her. Boy wasn't it HOT today. I got out to pick up some meds, store, a couple short errands. My daughter and I had a nice chat this evening. Her hubby flew backk to Chicago this morning. My husband is getting ready to drive back to Washington State and see his aging Mom. She's 88 and getting pretty feeble. He sister isn't doing well, has diabetes, heart disease, real bad RA. in a lot of pain from the arthritis. She had a heart attack about 12 years ago. She is 68. I think my husband will be gone about 10=14 days. Some of our friends want to buy our ski boat. It hasn't been in the water for 4 years. It's like brand new, always garaged. It goes 60 miles an hour. Boy do we have some good memories. We are having a hard time letting go.
I'm going to try and swim tomorrow. I had a good day. I want you to know you can call me anytime, day or night no matter what time it is. Would you like to go to a late lunch, I know all the good places!!!!!!!!Or I can drop you off at the hospital, I could be in your part of town in early afternoon ,like anytime between 1pm and 4 pm. Dr. says I can drive. 3-4 hours after I take my pain meds. I'v only taken two today. But yesterday I had probably worst headache ever. Take care and I'll talk to you soon. Hey Pete, thanks for the post on Wanda's daily blog. I know she will appreciate your comments when she is able to view the blog.

I have updated the blog through yesterday. It was a difficult day for Wanda and me;however, Wanda is fighting her way back from a very difficult surgery, and I am trying to assist her in that fight.

My sister, Wanda, is coming home Saturday, 07/18/09! This will ease so much stress on everybody. She is progressing faster than expected
