Default Hi...I'm a newbee.....question about Ketamine

My husband has had RSD in both feet/legs for 4 yrs now. We have tried everything and now we are going to try Ketamine infusions. Have any of you tried that? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance...........Patty

Hi there and welcome!

I've had three ketamine infusions. The first one gave me 30 days of total pain relief , the second one gave me 10 months lowered pain levels- with hardly no pain for the first few months then averaging at 2-4/10 for the rest of the time. The third one didn't work. The first one was at the end of 2004, the last one was this past August. Mine were 7 day "lowdose" infusions, where I was awake and not in a coma state like the way they do it in Germany etc.

But I'm in Melbourne, Australia, and they do ketamine infusions differently here than they do in America, so hopefully someone else can give you info on the protocol over there. (Sorry, I'm assuming you're in America, correct me if I'm wrong! )

x Kate

I know you had a question about Ketamine...

Mine worked while I had it in my system, but a few days after the infusion stopped I went right back to normal. This was about 3 years ago though, so treatments might have advanced by now here in the US.

Wish I could help more!
