I suffer from nausea quite a lot now that I have RSD also. I never used to have it but now that I have RSD, I seem to have it a lot of the time - especially if the pain is really bad. I'm never actually physically sick, but I feel like I am going to be a lot of the time.

Some medications can cause nausea so i'd look into the side effects of any meds you are on also. I know my nausea was worse on some meds. Ketamine makes me VERY sick for about 45 minutes after i've taken it. It's so bad that I can't even walk and don't know what i'm doing or where I am.

I hope you start feeling better soon!

Hello,

I have been having a lot of problems with nausea, to the point that I have been put on a anti-nausea medicine. My doctors say it is being caused by my medicines and the high pain. I hope this finds you feeling better.

Best wishes for a pain free day.

Yes.

It's usually mild and does tend to be associated with pain but can come on with any symptoms.

Teeth

Pain flares brings nausea, as well as some of my medications. My morning meds cause the most nausea for me..as I have to take several meds on an empty stomach. Once I have something in my tummy, within an hour from taking the morning meds, I am good.

Default After the nausea?

After the nausea the last 2 days, As I was coming to work, my husband came down with diarheaa and nausea and a fever of about 101, so I guess I will say that I had a bit of the stomach flu or something.. If this is so, it has gotten more frequent of late for some reason. The nausea with diarheaa symptoms so I guess I can't blame it for the RSd.. Went camping this last weekend and I was just miserable in the lounge chairs we took camping. First time I have went camping since being dx'ed with RSd.. The hot weather chairs and not being able to walk very far, made me think twice about going camping with RSD.. Darn't I used to enjoy it so much!1

Yes I have this. When my pain gets high it happens more but in general I have a weak stomach. Especially in the hot times I make sure I drink enough fluids. Many of the meds too in the start made me nauses. I keep pretzels and saltines on hand always and I used to drink vernors it is like ginger ale but in my home state. Feel better

Hi SunshineGirl,
I have less nausea now than I did in my earlier years. My eating habits have changed. I suffered from nausea dailey. My appetite totally changed. I found myself not liking a lot of different foods including coffee. I leaned toward comfort foods. I'm 98% vegetarian now. I like things that feel good in my stomach, like Dannon activia (yogurt), pudding, steel cut oatmeal, toast, all kinds of fruit, veggies, baked potato, once in a while I can eat some kinds of fish. My Dr. says it's RSD and meds. My bland food diet helps and is comforting. Flares do make the nausea much worse. Take care, loretta soft hugs

Hi - I often become severely nausea (enough to get sick) when I am in extreme pain - primarily very early in the morning when I first wake up - if I've rolled over in my sleep, and I am lying on the back of my head (where my RSD has spread), or if I am having a bad head pain day. For a while it seemed like I was nauseas all the time, because my pain wasn't well controlled.

Tums help quite a bit, as do saltines and pretzels. I HATE to get sick, because it usually just makes my head hurt even worse. So I keep Tums and my Perc and a glass of water next to my bed, and try to settle myself down when I first wake up if its a bad morning.

I think meds can impact our stomachs a lot, too. I try to take my Cymbalta and Topamax after I eat.

Good luck, Sandy
