I'm wanting to find out if about nausea as it relates to RSD. My daughter, Ashton, has RSD and is nauseated all of the time even with zofran around the clock. Your thoughts please.

Hi Andrea,
I am sorry for Ashton, I also have constant nausea. Zofran is my friend too. I believe the most likely cause of nausea is actually the medications we take to help our pain. I also feel ill when my pain is extreme, I think that is quite common with many of us but I do think the drugs are the guilty party here ![]() I hope she can get some relief soon Love Tayla ![]() |

Hi Andrea
I am really sorry about your Ashton's problems, thats awful. Does Ashton suffer from Migraines too? RSD does cause nause, I get it. Personally I think it is the drugs that cause it and also the pain. These websites might help you: http://www.rsdalert.co.uk/FAQ/doesrsdcausenausea.htm This website below gives you names of tablets and tell you their side effects http://www.rsd-arena.co.uk/6425/6479...ession*id*val* Hope this helps Send Ashton my love Hugs and kisses Ashton and family Alison

I agree with Tayla on this. I keep Phenergan around but haven't had to take it since I have learned how to take my Methadone right. I still will deal with the nausea if I take a little too much.
When I was trying different meds for my RSD I puked my guts out all of the time. It was only after my Dr. finally said no more to too many meds at one time that we finally got it calmed down. Moraphine, Vicoden, Percocet, you name it I tried it. I couldn't do any of them. Another thing I believe also is the balance thing sometimes comes from the meds. I fell 12 times from being on meds that made me dizzy. I do have other medical problems and all of the Drs. I was going to were throwing meds at me for each problem and I couldn't take them but just with the RSD I do believe that as many meds as people have to take for them, they can cause the dizziness and balance problems at times. It could be one of the meds that she is on or a combination of them causing the nausea. I hope Ashton starts feeling better soon. Ada |

Hi - not sure if this would help - ask your doctor. But, I use a very strongly steeped ginger root tea & honey along with zofran. It helps take the edge off sometimes. While not a miracle, it does help with some of my nausea.
