I had a bad panic attack last night. I feel like I have pressure in my head. Other things are bothering me. Please pray for me. BF

hope you are feeling more calm today BF

a very helpful coping technique my son was taught when he would have bad anxiety/panic was to verbalize the problem while breathing

ie he would say out loud while doing deep breaths:
"Breathe in faith:breathe out doubt" "Breathe in peace:breath out worry"

sounds trivial but I was amazed at how it helped him

praying you will feel the peace of God that passes all understanding

BF, do you have a way to try the relaxation tapes. I had been letting the crying and hyperventalating take over, but last night did the tummy breathing and focusing on the body to calm it.

All the garbage in life is there, but I can get past the moments reasonably better. Do you have a cat? I know a lot of people won't let them in the home, but a good one, that walks right to you is a huge comfort.

I hope that the winter blues too are not affecting, maybe by March we can feel better.

Hi Steve,

Honey makes an excellent point about the lack on sunlight maybe contributing to your unhappiness. In addition to the naturally short days, large parts of the States have had an abnormally high number of cloudy days. SAD lights can be rented from many medical supply stores.
