Hi Karen: I feel like I have a hole in my chest. My heart is aching. The tears keep welling up in my eyes. I am going to help her clean her house tomorrow. My Mom (who I am so worried about) is coming as well and we are going to get through the day together. Dorrie

Thank you Kimmy Dawn and Karen...Today was a lovely day as it ended up that my Dad and Mom and my bro and sis and I were all at Gramas. We do not all gather like that too often so it was a treat. Gramas house is all clean and tidy and we will keep up on it so that when she goes in for surgery(no date yet) she will not have to worry about it at all. Grama gave me a large family bible today. I do not have my own family bible...well now I do. I was very happy but still it was sad as I think she is worried about herself and so she gave it to me now. I will cheish it. She was very quiet today. It is so hard to deal with all of this. I am so sad inside Check in later....Luv Dorrie

what an awesome gift dorrie. that can be something you pass on to your daughter. she will always have part of your grandmother in her heart from all the stories you tell her.

i know how heart wrenching this is for you. but i beleive that your grandmother when the time comes, will be met by her family she so loved and cherished that have passed.

sending hugs and prayers for you and your family.

ps..i have a family bible that i started. i remember the day i wrote my husbands name, dob and the date we got married in it. made him cry.

Hi Curious! Yes it was a wonderful gift wasn't it! I want to start something in it now but I can't. I jsut feel so sad that thinking about even wonderful things pulls at my heart....the tears well up in my eyes and I need to stop. I am so afraid of losing my Grama. She has always been so loving and kind. Her heart is so full of love for all of us. My family have been so blessed to have had such a wonderful person as our Grama. I have not lost very many people close to me in my life. Two granfathers have passed. One I was close to...that was 20 years ago. I have been lucky not to have to deal with death as much as most people but I do not think that I am ready for anything to happen to Grama. I do not know that I could handle that...far too painful to think about. I truly love her so so much. Sorry for babbling . for you Curious...Dorrie

babble away dorri. it really is good for you.

i have lost many. not that is makes it any easier when someone you love is ill or passes away. i just keep them in my thoughts and talk about them often. they more i do..the more part of them is shared with others.

have you ever written in a journal? when my brother passed away i was so glad i had written down funny and sometimes not..you know how brothers can be.. stories from our childhood. i love to share stories about him and my grandparents to my grandson. it makes the pictures of these people come alive to him. it is so cute to hear him tell my hubby stories of my relatives..that neither had met.

just know we are here for you dorrie.

What a wonderful day you made, with things that are so ordinary. The most important things, really.
