He's still with me, still fighting so that's all I can hope for. I went to see him after work and they let me hold him a few minutes. I don't know if it was my imagination playing tricks but I felt like he purred even though his eyes were half-closed. I'm trying to prepare myself but I just can't do it yet because deep down in my heart I know he's not ready to leave just yet. And I'm not ready to lose him either yet. They ran a lot of tests and found out his one kidney is not functioning at all. But he can survive with one kidney if he pulls through this.

Thank you everyone for praying for Benton. I'm sure he hears them and I hope it's giving him some strength to keep fighting.

Still praying. . . . .and I believe he knew you were there. I'm sure that gave him strength - pets know who loves them.
