Worry is a useless emotion. It tells us in the bible:

"Worry about Nothing and Nothing is Nothing."

The Lord's handiwork is at it again... He's bringing us all together and giving us that HMMMMM moment, so we take time to see that he is busy at work. Yest as I was watching my lonely hummingbird feeder, as they have almost all headed South~ there came a little one by.

For a few seconds he hovered by the feeder checking things out, so knew he was just passing by. It was amazing watching him fill his tank for his journey.

Sometimes it's those little things that we overlook. I know I do. Whether it be a hummingbird or a sweet child's smile~ it's all b/c of HIM.

Thank you BMW for this thread. I've enjoyed it since you first started it. I have gone back and read the prior posts and yes, smiled.

Have a good day everyone.

I hope you all don't mind me jumping in here. I love this thread and read it but have yet to contribute.

When I paint, God takes over. Truly he does because I don't know where this work comes from. He takes over my hands and eyes and creates things that when people look at it, it brings a sense of serenity and peace.

When I am painting, I don't think about anything but maybe the person I am doing a painting for. I just ask God to guide me and boy, He does more than guide. Painting then becomes a spiritual thing; it is His work through me.

This morning I was posting in the Insights thread and as I typed this, I thought of putting it in here as well. (I just cut and pasted it. lol) I did a painting (posted in my profile in my Artwork album) for DD18's friend. The money that I receive will go to the family of a very, very sick little boy to help with the medical expenses they have.

"As for the painting, my belief is that God gave me somewhat of a talent to use and share. If I don't use it to benefit others and share, then the artwork loses meaning and, well, it would make me a selfish person. Just my own feelings on it. When I do my work, I pray a lot, have a conversation with God, and sometimes even listen to Christian Rock - KLOVE. I don't do this all the time but and I don't do all of it at the same time (overload) while I am painting, but God is always in there some where. The paintings that I have done that I don't do this with, no one will ever see. LOL."

Again, I love this thread and will try to contribute more as opposed to just being a reader. Thank you BMW for starting it.

I have to admit I haven't looked in this section in a long time, and maybe I wouldn't have now if not for BMW pointing me in this direction! I've struggled over the last few months with pain and depression, and with it being a very cold winter here in the southern part of Aust. Thanks for the inspiration everyone. But also things were put into perspective recently, by catching up (through facebook) with an old friend who I had lost touch with. This friend has a severely mentally disabled son. It made me realise my problems were minor compared to his, and those who care for him. That is why I wrote a poem called "Makes me realise" which I posted here a couple of days ago.
I think that situation and the fact that I've finally noticed it's springtime here...has opened my eyes again to see God and his beautiful creations...

This mornings bit of wisdom that I read:

It's best to let God have our life because He can do more with it than we can.

tkirk the line of wisdom you posted strikes me
and it is because a lot of times I ask for the higer power to come to me and use me any way possible any way the higher power sees fit to help others anyway i can no matter how big or little. I know that sound really weird but I do this very very often almost everyday . and I was struck by your post thanks for sharing the wisdom. Blessings to you and all those around you...keep painting!

this was the little poem in my Daily Devotions ... Springs in the Desert::

"I walked a mile with Pleasure,
She chattered all the way;
But left me none the wiser
For all she had to say.

"I walked a mile with Sorrow,
And ne'er a word said she;
But, oh, the things I learned from her
When sorrow walked with me."
