I need your prayers.
My grandson James (1) was rushed to the hospital last night by ambulance. Mark (my oldest son) was caring for him while is wife was at work. He called me and told me James felt warm and wanted to know if it was alright to give him Motrin. I told Mark to check his temp give him some motrin and put him in a tepid bath. (My kids always cooled down with a luke warm bath) A little while later Mark called in hysterics. James had a seizure and stopped breathing. Mark kept trying cpr but James wasn't recovering. By the time medics got there Mark was able to revive the baby and he was rushed to childrens hospital. They ran tons of tests and believed it was from the fever. This morning James is acting normal but wants to be in his Daddy's arms. Tests showed a slight ear infection but otherwise healthy. They are keeping him for a little while to make sure his fever doesn't spike or he has another seizure. I have never been so frightened in my life. Being an hour away from my son and him screaming on the phone that he couldn't get James to breathe. I've never felt so helpless in my life. All the memories of losing my granddaughter Lilianne came rushing back. Please if you could, say a prayer that James continues to get better. Thank you for listening. It's been a pretty rough night.
