It's still obnoxiously dry in Florida and for added insult
we are getting "Dry T'booms" (aka dry thunderstorms with little or no rain) which is even more a fire hazard. We really need the rain here; and while some areas have received rain, it's very sporadic; in which one might call it a "Driveway Damper". What makes it even worse are smokers who are making people nervous when they toss out live cigarettes out the window instead of using their ashtrays in their car. We've had people who've actually ran and grabbed garden hoses out here to put out what could have turned into a major fire because of the above; Cops sees this and tries to find out info on the vehicle but many times no one knows who it was, and all there is: a burn patch in the ground and they make sure everyone hose it down really good that it's not smothering and it's all soggy. Yes, we've had some brush fires caused by dryness, because it's just that - D-R-Y! It's not unusual for this region to be dry in April, but like Chemar posted, it's been really weird weather here, even for my own region where it's asinine! My region isn't in a drought, but it's like a Yo-Yo, we've been in and out of Amazon Wetness to Death Valley Dry, but we've been in Death Valley dry spell for 3 months now and it's like . April normally is a Dry month while May begins to wane off the dry spell and at end of May the thunderstorms begins to return with rain, but we're getting thunderstorms without any rain at all and yet the humidity is well over 95% (which normally means R-A-I-N). So it's very confusing weather here. Even my own garden has suffered from massive confusion; due to the atmosphere of the weather from arid dryness to excessive humidity which is very unusual for this area. It's almost like one's having one foot in Death Valley and the other foot in Tropic Zone. We need a lot of prayers for Florida... But yet; at the same time ~ I am perceiving, but I may be wrong, that Florida is bound, later on this summer for some Hurricanes hitting this State, especially on the East Coast end and it's not going to be a pretty picture. Being a pioneer native, the settlers and other pioneers have been talking about this and this weather - whenever it's like this, you can be assured that Florida's East Coast is going to be smacked: think of Hugo, Andrew, Opal, et cetera. Unless we're really experiencing some ultra weird weather cycles, it would be very unusual for the West Coast to see much of anything except normal thunderstorms. And if this is the case, I think all those folks on the East Coast of Florida would be in far more danger in a few more months than we would (where I am) at, and I believe that's where Chemar is.
