for you and your son. I pray that God will work in his life and he will grow from this experience. I hope His will is for your son to grow from this without having to go to prison. Bless you both!

Thank you so much everyone for your prayers and replies. My son actually did get a break, and it could be positive if he will just take advantage of it. The DA agreed to reduce both charges to a disdemeanor if he will go through some rehabilitation and some programs to improve his philosophy. Now if my son will just be wise enough, and be guided through the process by the Lord, maybe it will have a happy outcome in the end. He will probably have to spend ten days in jail, but it's just a holding facilility where everyone's pretty docile. This is his last big chance to change his life around for the good, and I have no doubt that all of your prayers had something to do with it. He's not a bad boy, but having to watch his father's health decline, and his mother take up with another man, have both soured him greatly to life. It taught him the wrong lesson, that you are only worth what you are at the moment. Thank you all again, and you have my prayers in return.

Great news, Idealist!! I pray he sees this outcome as a gift, and a chance to turn his life around. Don't be so hard on yourself, you both get to start over!! The past is gone, look to the new days ahead .Hugs to both of you.

This is good news!!
Jail isn't where he needs to be. All jail does is put already troubled people in contact with MORE troubled people who are not equipped to help. I pray that he will take the help that is offered and get his life on the right track.
