After talking to the kids this afternoon Scott said the boy who committed suicide was suppose to be a senior this year, but he dropped out of school the very end of last year... apparently he never took his finals his junior year and he didn't want to start school as a junior so never bothered to enroll. That doesnt make it any less tragic, but it was a bit easier for the kids to deal with since he wasn't actually enrolled at school this year. Rebecca is doing ok. She said the whole volley ball team has been asked to attend the funeral and sit together with their uniforms on.... I'm definately going with her.... i may not get to sit with her, but there is no way i'm going to let her go without me...
All the girls signed a volley ball today and are going to give it to her mother and father at the funeral.... its going to be so sad to attend the funeral of a teenager the same age as my daughter.... it makes you want to hug them and never let them go.....
THANK YOU for your prayers.

Vicky, how tragic. My prayers are added to those here for your family,
their families and your community. It is always so hard to attend a young
one service. The soccer ball, that made me cry, what a beautiful thing for
those children to do. Brings new hope even in the face of tragedy. Thinking
of you all ~Nikki

So sorry to hear of these tragic losses. It's so hard when these things happen in our communities. Take care Vicky and sending prayers to all.

That is so sad when children or adolescents die. It hits the other students very hard to think that someone in their grade or age should die so soon. I am praying for both your children.

It is healing for them to go to the funeral mass . The idea of all signing the soccer ball and giving that to the parents of the student is a wonderful gesture. It is also healing for the students.

It is wonderful that you are going with your daughter and being there for her at this crucial moment .

May God bless one and all. May He bring peace to the hearts of all those who were touched by such tragic events.
