I PRAYED FOR YOU TODAY

I prayed for you today – and yet it was not I
But He Who saw into my heart and heard my anguished cry
I prayed for you today – sent a battalion out
Of Angels, who will you surround, & will all evil rout.

I prayed for you today that the Holy Spirit’s light
Will be Who you most crave, to guide you through the storms of life
That God loosens every burden & the fears that keep you bound
& frees you from your anger, shows you – forgiveness can be found.

Shows you all of the excitement & the passion & the Love
That seeks to re-create you, gives you all that you’ve dreamed of
& fills you up completely till you begin to overflow
Spilling love into the darkness & everywhere that you go.

My obsession to protect you – I lay at Jesus feet
Trusting God’s almighty power safely your soul to keep
The Power I have’s unstoppable, when I kneel down to pray –
It is in this I trust for sure I PRAYED FOR YOU TODAY.

Thank you for your positive response and taking the time to let me know.
I wrote this for my children. When I think of all the mistakes I made with
them as they grew up (they are grown & have children of their own now)
There is always something I can do that I know I can't mess up on.
and that's to pray for them. thats never a mistake.

its powerful, free, uplifting, miraculous, easy, quick - or not, and its
something that I can do for them as often as I want, anywhere,
anytime and I know I will be heard. And that is a great comfort to me.
Perhaps this poem can comfort or give hope to someone else out there.
