Hey Tara- Fiona is on point there with the gratitude that your doc is getting testing underway very soon to try to find out if there are issues other than the stim. Hope all goes well and that the needed information is discerned.

Wink I am nervous about the EMG though lol

I didn't get back online last night because I got sick again from going to campus But anyway, I wanted to comment about the EMG cause I am a little bit scared. I have only had one done and that was a long time ago and all I remember is that it was painful! I know that it is an important step and am so grateful this new doctor is taking me seriously. It means a lot to me when a doctor listens to me and does not dismiss me! I guess I just sometimes get upset because it feels like I am going backwards since I already have a stim but I understand now why all this is happening and it is not so bad. The sooner we get things ruled out the sooner I get to getting my stim fixed and get to feel good again! I am also thankful that I have my new wheelchair and also my "Betsy" because now I can enjoy our honeymoon next week! Thank you everyone for the replies and the continued support!Tara

Thanks for your reply and I agree with you completely! I have had a few doctors dismiss me because my health problems are so complicated for my age. And of course, I do have those thick records too which maybe makes them nervous. Thank you for sharing your experience with me, and my new plan for new doctors is to write everything out before my appointment like my history and also all of my concerns. I kind of practiced with my therapist too because I saw her before my appointment I do think today was productive because he was very nice and rushed my appt to get the EMG done! take care Tara

Thank you fionab! I am glad that he was so helpful and took me seriously. I am nervous about the test though even though I know it is kind of silly to worry about it. take care Tara

Smile Hey Tara!!!

Mark here-

Checking in and hoping as well as praying that things too are looking up! I know EMG is a drag. Been there, had MANY MANY, and I would rather take a bumpy flight from Denver to Chicago any day, but, the test helps with necessary answers. May all be well with you, and then may all be well with you and yours.

Praying for you constantly,
Mark56

Default Hello Terra

I know about being afraid. I go to my new neuro today. I had failed surgery before and face a host of troubles as you do. I will be thinking of you tomorrow at your appt. I know others are thinking of us too. I am sending a group hug as we are not alone here I am a new member too, just a few days. Be calm as well as you can be, and I will too
