Pity though, isn't it that the criminal types could not be implanted with our devices???? I now know absolutely how to stop them..... just aim the remote at an implanted burgle person and jack up the signal WAY HIGH...... I promise you they would be paralyzed in a moment so the Bobbies/Officers could be summoned to "pick them up." Yup... maybe we will have to pursue this for a more humane means to handle the criminial type---- implant them all so they may be immobilized by anyone with a remote, yes?

They wouldn't even have the discomfort of tazing or embarassment of doing the floppy fish on the floor... they would simply be paralyzed. This sounds good.

Any votes for this one?

Hi everyone

Well its the middle of November, can you believe it???

Went to my Dr to see if he throw any light on my aches and pains down my right side since I had that little 'bump'

I still have the aches and pains. Some days Im crippled with it, as if the left side isnt bad enough!!! Last Wednesday I was with my husband in the shops and I had to go outside and sit down as the pain was so bad. I really thought I had slipped another disc!!! Friday wasnt much better either. Anyway went to the Dr and he assured me that my disc isnt slipped, but it looks like I have some pulled muscles. He said its very tender on that side too. Dont I know it!!

So Ive started using my Lidoderm patches on both sides of my back now:rolleyes: Its a pity that the stim doesnt reach up to my back then I could have covered both sides I suppose. But unfortunately it doesnt do much for my back........ I will see how this goes anyway and see if it will settle down. Well its like this if it doesnt what do I do????? not much to be done really, because I certainly do not want anymore surgery, been there and done that as they say!!

So fingers crossed it will settle down soon...............Im trying to get out for a walk everyday as I find that once Im up and get going I dont stiffen up as much, its once I stop! Im finished:eek:

Hope you are all having a good painfree day...thinking of you all

I just can't BELIEVE all you've been thru these past few months! And now your body is suffering the brunt of it.
It sure is a relief to know that you don't have slipped disc or anything quite that serious. Nonetheless, you are suffering terribly and I hope that the pulled muscles will get back to normal soon.
In the meantime, I pray that the patches will help you along to ease this pain you are dealing with.

I'm so sorry you are in such pain, Jackie :(

Mark56 11-16-2011 12:39 AM

Well Yeah Jackie!!

It is good you are doing... well, better than before.... but those aches and such, and the muscle thing..... walking alone may not do it. Didn't your doc contemplate some physical therapy to help with that muscle issue???? It has indeed been a blessing to me overcoming this surgery and that several times over....

Maybe?

hi there,
Sorry I haven't posted for a while...have been dealing with the repercussions of getting those botox shots in Nov. Won't discuss the shots as I already mentioned them in my latest post. Just wanted to let you know I'm praying for you and sorry to hear about the latest issue you're having to deal with. Some days it just seems like it's one thing after another!! But, hang in there, as we're all thinking about you and praying for you, even if we (meaning "me" :icon_rolleyes:) don't post as much as we should.:hug:

Happy Christmas Everyone!!

I am SOOOO SO sorry that I havent been around lately. Its been a while:eek:

Im doing 'ok' thank you......I have had a few more spasms since I last posted but nothing as bad as the initial one that I got. I havent been back to my Pain Dr yet as he is away but I am hoping to get an appointment for a reprogramming session in January. I have been out doing some shopping with my husband yesterday but boy am I wrecked. Its amazing how quickly the energy levels go. After an hour Im pooped and just want to get out of the shops. But he is great , he was carrying all the bags and then we got a shopping trolley for him to push :D.....so got it all done. Today I have awful lower back pain but I know its from 'overdoing' it again:rolleyes:but you know I will never learn. So Im lying here now on the couch with my SCS revved up to the hilt and its so relaxing.....but unfortunately I will have to turn it down soon otherwise I will be climbing the walls with the sensations. I do wish that they could just push it up higher on my back!! Im hoping in January we might be able to play around with it a bit more.......

Like you all I have my good days and bad days. Very very tired lately but I think that might have to do with the dreary weather we have here in Ireland at the moment. Wet and damp:( nothing new there really!!!

Rae we can always depend on you to 'bump' up the threads :D thank you so much. I hope you are keeping well and that you are coping well with your pain. How is Aydan I bet he is looking forward to Santa........... I wish you and all your family and very happy and healthy Christmas and 2012

My granddaughter is doing great....she is fascinated with all the lights on the tree and 'NOAH'...:D :D well we didnt have a clue who NOAH was and then one day she pointed to the SNOWMAN outside the house and said 'NOAH' so THATS what she meant :D so now we have NOAH THE SNOWMAN......its so cute........

Jenna so good to hear from you. Thank God you are on the road to recovery. I cant believe its A YEAR since you had your SCS put in:eek:Where does the time go!!! its amazing........Also great to hear that your heartfailure is under control now......and Im sure you are feeling more yourself now too.......I will keep praying for you and your little girls and hubby that you will all have a wonderful Christmas and a healthy 2012

Fiona........I know its hard to post all the time but everyone here is so good and will always welcome you back with open arms!! look what you all did to me!

The botox? no? not good? do let us know how it went? I hope the 'twins' are behaving themselves and working good for you....I wish you and all your family a very happy Christmas and healthy 2012

I just want to say to you all that I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all the help and encouragement and words of wisdom over the past 12 months. You have all been so helpful to me and given me so much hope also.

I pray that you all have a wonderful Christmas and a very happy and healthy New Year. I know that we will all be thinking of each other and praying that we have a relatively painfree holiday!!!

Take care everyone and ENJOY THE HOLIDAYS!!!!!

Hi Jackie

I am sorry you had the accident and that your car got hit. Don't sign any release forms until you find out from the doctor that you are OK.
I also understand how frightening it can be when someone tries to break into your home. I am glad you had the dogs. I had a similar experience home alone in the middle of the afternoon. A man came up, opened the screen door, and I watched while he jiggled the knob trying to get in. I screamed who is it and went to the phone. I now lock my screen door too. This seems to be happening more and more all around the country. Get extra locks, I got a few dead bolts installed. So sorry it all happened to you. I hope your new year is brighter and does have any of this stuff happen again. ginnie
