Heart Yeah all modesty out the door

And in OR prep, and in OR, and in recovery, and on and on and on, once you are in the medical gamut, all modesty is gone.......

Glad you have family to help!
Feel better,
Mark56

Default Oh yes!

What Mark said! Absolutely!

I think we ALL should get to keep those lovely hospital gowns with the 'backyard view'
I would just lOVE to wear one to the grocery store and walk down the isles throwing PRUNES and BABYWIPES in the cart.....singing "Polly Wolly Doodle" all day

Gotta Love it

Smile Ahh, but the humor is in the sharing

So, as I posted in one of the posts about my particular SCS adventure, I had gone to the restroom, intubed with IV, so dragging my IV along..... I return to my little prep area to get back on the bed, no robe mind you, and THERE ARE MY WIFE, THE PASTOR FROM CHURCH AND SEVERAL FRIENDS who get the joy [chuckle, chuckle] of watching me strive to return rather immodestly to assume the position on the bed. WE all got a laugh. Oh well.

All in a day's humor,
Mark56

Smile New to the site

I have been learning from the posts of you all that I'm definitely NOT alone. I had some questions about the different units...Boston Scientific vs Medtronic.
I went today to get the trial implant and I gotta say that after being in pain since 2004 this is the BEST invention EVER made. I am having a lot of pain from the procedure but the relief in my legs is phenomenal.
I hope that everyone here is feeling better or will be soon. Many thanks for letting me know I'm not alone. Although I'm sorry for all the pain.

I guess the leg comment said it but my problem is Lumbar lower back and legs.

You are definitely NOT alone in this journey. Most all of us on here have been the distance, some love it, some had trouble, some had it out, some experience definite recognizable quantifiable relief that justifies going ahead, I was able to finally withdraw from every single little pain pill on which I was riding the prescription routine up until permanent implant. No pills for pain. I feel this implant is a blessing from God it is that helpful.

Yep,

Oh INDEED you have landed on the right planet my friend!
You know I was thinking how GREAT it would be if you wanted to start a whole new thread about your experience! Like most of us, we've started a thread and we just keep adding to them as our stories unfold and it's fantastic (as you have seen!) when someone new logs on and sees these different testimonies!
I too am Lumbar SCS for burning neuropathic leg pain and lower back.....
I love it. Just LOVE it.....

Just holler if you need help in getting around!
When you first get here to the SCS forum you'll see up on the top left of the screen a place to click on to 'Start a New Thread'......
Tag that puppy and tell your tale!
That way you will be easier to see as opposed to being mixed in other posts.
No pressure...... just sayin...... pull up a chair and make yerself at home!~

I read what you shared on your other post and am so excited about your trial!
That's what this is all about - getting our LIVES back!!

It's good to have you!
Rae

I have Failed Back Syndrome with lower back and both legs. Ive my unit for just 6 months and I find the relief it give me in my legs fantastic. It can be soooooo relaxing. At times I feel like someone is massaging my legs thats how much relief I get from it........

So I wish you the very best of luck and that you too will get your permanent implant very very soon!!

Jackie
