Well..... at least Hubby did his duty

We hubbys can feel squeamish about some things, even during a delivery of one of our shildren, the staff produced a stool for me because they though ao many years ago I was going to pass out. Ha, Ha, Ha,....... takes a strong person to be a woman, and Saffy, you have an abundance of strength to even jest at the circumstance.

Prayers for you and hubby,

Hi Saffy

I am sending hugs to you right now. Since I have had the same as you are experiencing, I have to give you that lift. I am glad you got a laugh even as you had to go through the ultra sound. I also had some odd pap tests come back, so I had the complete hysterectomy, at the same time I was replaired. It will be OK. Once this thing is over with, you will feel so much better. Not having normal bodily function is awful, and I hope you can get all of this over with quickly. There was some pain after the process, but honesly it was OK and I recovered really well. Let me know when you are scheduled in and I will keep you in my prayers that day for sure. ginnie

Dearest Karen....

You will be a whole new woman once all this is past you. You certainly won't regret it.
Getting my hyster was one of the best things I could have done for myself. I dare not give you the gory details of 'why' I had to have an emergency hysterectomy..... you probably get the idea. :icon_confused:

Things weren't quite as simple after the ultrasounds.

They found a polyp on my cervix and unfortunately a cyst on my ovary with dark patches that means it is "menacing" ... Hopefully. Or too menacing but they will be doing a biopsy on that.

Once he gets the all clear from my stim surgeon I am having a hysterectomy, and the ovaries takes out by lapascopy and then the TWO prolapses. .. Trust me to not just get the one, sorted. My cervix has prolapsed and indeed the bowel is pushing into the vagina wall.

I did have one laugh yesterday though. The man doing the ultra sound was waiting for a chaperone and I asked ..l won't my husband do? Haha .. So he who is so squeamish had to co,e in with me, whilst I lay there legs akimbo. His face. Haha .. Don't think I've ever seen anyone go as gray as to match his hair.

Hopefully the doctor can get all done in one operation. All coming from the same area. As I said, I had a complete hysterectomy, everything removed, laproscopy, some years ago. Amazing what they can do. Now if you can get all the rest at the same time. That would be good. Since in my case, the other two were not a problem at the time, I had cystocle surgery, then rectocele years later.

Too funny about your husband !!!! You sure have a good sense of humor.

Just to let you know. I phoned the Hospital today to tell them that the incision in my side is read and there is a line towards my stim .. and noticed blisters at the bottom of my back on the incision site.

They've got me a bed reserved ... eee I tell you .. they will know me so well there soon!

No doubt they will remove all hardware this time ..

ginnie 04-10-2012 08:01 AM

hello saffy

I hope at the hospital they get to the problem. So sorry you have to have another visit, but what you described didn't sound right. I will be thinking of you and keeping you in my prayers. ginnie

Thank you ... My surgeon did say that if the infection (cellulitis) came back he would have to take all my hardware out as it would just keep coming back.

This means .. Hysterectomy etc can go ahead and maybe another stim later in the year.

Dear Dear Saffy:

My prayers and thoughts are with you. My goodness....maybe a stim is not for you. You have been thru so much. These infections are awful on your body.

Better to have hysterectomy without stim anyway. The doctor that did my trial would not even do a trial since we knew I would be needing Rectocele surgery after having had my Cystocele. He wanted to wait until surgeries were out of the way and future surgery would not interfer should I do a permanent implant. As hard as this may be.....might just be for the better.

Prayin....
