![]() ![]() Thank you also for your inspiring words about my career. I have been burning up the wires of LinkedIn lately, re-connecting with people I have known in my prior work. Meeting with them for coffee, lunch, and such getting my face into the community again. Working hard to find work, and your encouragement helps. ![]() Mark56 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I am home from my great holiday! the journey nearly killed me on the way back but doing ok and hopefully body will start to recover soon. really enjoyed being with my big sis but most of all loved being with my daughter. Mark i saw your comment about the submarine ride and laughed my daughter said that was her favourite one. i hired a motorised little bike for the day in disney as i knew i would not make it through without but have to say it was probably one of the best days of my life seeing my daughters face light up at everything she saw. i will be back with more details and stories in next few days after i recover but wanted you all to know i am home safe and sound

This is a good thread on travel with scs....
Also, I remember someone saying that they simply turned their unit off while checking in and they didn't get 'beeped' at the security line..... but ? you'd think the metal would set it off? I know Mark had a post in which he detailed do's and don'ts at the airport.....not sure if it's in this thread or his 'Boston Scientific' thread. |

OK, one must try, please just try to mimic their best Boston accent, ya see....
"Go to duh airport and grab a wheelchair, person, pass them a few quid, they will solicitously whisk you through security where people in uniform will see your cane, your halting step, because it is d a m hard to w a l k , and theh the wheelchair person will rapidly take ya to your flight lounge. Turn your stim to a comfy setting, then put the remote away in your purse, your pocket, or however you carry it onboard. Den when dey call de flight, the wheelchair will wheel ya down duh jetway to the aircraft opening. Remembering BLAST you will not reach to place things high up in the overhead. You will have economized remembering BLAST and will put yer stuff under duh seat whut is in frunt of ya. Sit down and be comfortable, leaving your stim on as comfortably as you wish." Take no guff. No one can see you have a stim anyway, unless at one of the concourse stencil places you have stenciled on your forehead- BEAT ME, I AM A STIM USER, AND IT IS TURNED ON NOW. But then if you wasted your money on such a stencil Yellow, you do not deserve that trip in Cozumel because you probably forgot your sun block. Now go and have fun, Mark56 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
