Confused Have questions about SCS

I have been reading posts for about a hour or two, & have found alot of excellent information on the SCS.

Some background info . I have had back pain (undetermined) for 3 yrs now . Gone thru 6 Radio Frequency procedures ,& at least a dozen epidural shots. I am on 150 mg of Lyrica and Norco.

My pain dr mentioned the SCS to me 2 weeks ago. I then took the psych test last Wednesday & recieved the results today. Which were happily normal.

I am scheduled for the trial on March 23. No information was given to me at all about this except " you will do a trial for 3-7 days".

When they do the trial , Is it an outpatient procedure or a overnighter? Are you awake? I have alot of questions that the dr doesnt have time for unfortunetly, but the information i have found in this forum is a Godsend!
Thank you.
