Heart Talked to our Young Parents tonight

So Nick and Cyndie had a doc appt today to check on our precious little baby. An Amniocentesis was to have been done to check on the little one. Problem? No retrievable fluid at all around the baby as it is all within her.

Doc predicted two to three weeks before our little grandbaby will no longer be able to sustain life. Crying here. Our Son and Daughter-in-law will let us know when the time comes and both sets of grandparents will converge on them in NC at Fort Bragg. We understand we will be able to hold her a bit. Thankfully, the medical staff is SO caring and understanding as they deal with our crushed young parents.

Thank you all for your compassion, prayers, and concern,
Grandpa Mark56

mark, we all have had to deal with some loss, but to lose a precious child always causes a deep, heartfelt sorrow which is hard to even imagine. I know we just started talking but I wanted you to know, i am so very sorry for the loss your family has suffered. My prayers and sincere thoughts will be with you all during this most painful time. Please, just breathe!

In our community of faith we often sing a song reminding us that Christ is the breath of life and that we need only breathe Him in, we do, and we see Him in each other's eyes as we know through that source of faith dependence we are strengthened to endure the hard times. Especially are we reminded of the hard times He endured as Easter is so fresh in our minds. So Cleo and I strive to emulate that for our son and daughter-in-law, knowing as we personally do the loss of a little one. We had two sets of twins, but one miscarried, and our miracle baby, Emily, who survived that trauma is now a delightful blessing at 18 in college with her mind hard set on becoming a physician.

Thank you so much for your encouragement.
Blessings,
Mark56zzzz

Mark

My heart goes out to those very young parents in what they are suffering today. How absolutely awful it is just reading about the tragedy that is set upon them so I can only imagine what it is actually like for them and indeed for you the grandparents to have to go through this awful pain. Your precious little granddaughter will be in the arms of GOD and that will bring some peace to you Im sure. But nonetheless heartbreaking. Thank you so much for sharing it with us Mark and hopefully the words of comfort and prayers that have been shown on this thread will help in some way to ease this pain and suffering you are all experiencing at this sad sad time.

Praying for you all each day Mark

Jackie

Heart Thank you SO MUCH SOPHIE!!

You may be new among this tightly knit group, but you are truly endearing yourself to us, and especially moi. We very much appreciate your thoughts of concern about our precious little one. We know and appreciate God's involvement in the whole of the picture, and are communicating daily with our young ones in North Carolina. Got a LONG DRIVE coming up for sad reasons, and we do fell blessed knowing God holds her as a dear little one. That is what buoys us in these times.

Special HugZZZ

To my dear friend Mark! I have heard the terrible sad news today about Autumn and my heart cries for you all at this time. I was not blessed with the gift of writing that you have my dear friend but i did find this poem written by a mammy called shannon who suffered a loss like your son and daughter in law and i think its just beautiful. Big hugs to you my friend

Why did you have to go away and leave your mommy so sad and blue?
I'm right here mommy with you always, I thought you already knew.

How come I can't see you or hold you close to me?
You do see me mommy, you just have to open your eyes and there I'll be.

I'm the sunrise in the morning and the sunset @ night.
I'm that star you see in the sky shinning o' so bright.

I'm that flower in your yard that bloomed the other day.
I'm the beautiful butterfly you stopped and watch play.

I'm that soft whisper you hear when no one's around.
I'm the warmth that heals your heart just when you begin to frown.

I'm the colorful rainbow you sometimes see right after a storm.
I'm always near you mommy, I just take many different forms.

I'm in each smile you make and kiss you give away.
I'm apart of you mommy, in every thought and word you say.

I see the tears you cry for me and hear you pray.
I wipe them away with my kisses and help you make it through the day.

We will forever be together this I know for sure.
God sent me to be with you in all that you will endure.

Mommy I wish you could see my magical set of wings.
Exquisite soft white feathers made from all of God's loving things.

I wrap them around you brining comfort and healing.
As i engulf you let go all the pain your heart is feeling.

We meet in your dreams holding hand in hand.
We walk down beaches dragging our feet in the sand.

You also have some friends up here that love you so.
They watch over you where ever you may go.

So when your feeling sad and blue and think I'm not right here.
Just look around at all the beautiful things and know I am near.
