finding something to grip on, i falling
 

dear kind friends

today i have cancer of the breast
biopsy was positive

blessings for the day

blessed that i didn't leave my mammo on back burner for
i have had my mammos since 40 and every year since
until this year i put it off for 4 months because other medical issues

blessed finding it and acted on it right away

blessed that it was caught at a very early stage

blessed i wasn't alone when i got the news my eldest daughter was with me, my son called before i went to the doctors and called after the visit

blessed to be falling into Gods hands when i need his loving most this is way too much my head is spinning

blessed for the first time i am unable to have family for Thanksgiving Corissa and myself will be with Oliver and my family

blessed am i to have this place and let it be known that both women and men be tested

blessed to have cancer it will bring me closer to my God

blessed that here i can express it isn't easy not knowing if you are coming or going but can sit and cry with a home of
comforting family if i may say

blessed because nothing is by chance
thy will be done

blessed i am for each day i have a chance to able myself and find in this life i am responsible for what comes out of my mouth the most powerful tool given too us

may i be able to return to a sleep where i can dream all this away if only in my dreams

bless this forum with honest kindness too all who suffer in one way or another and you might feel lost

Blessed are we that God will be ready to catch us when we are falling

The news is hard
the psyche scarred,
but in God's arms you will have peace
that through prayer and treatment full relief
will be the way for you today
all the days on God's highway
so pray we do to lift you up
and ask that God restore full health just thus
for in His plan are miracles
and most of all His love blessing you in blessing known chuckles
as once and for all you may see these things
be taken by Him, restoring your presence and by angels ringed.

A very young friend of ours at church was diagnosed with very serious bowel cancer feared to have metastasized. We all gathered at hospital last week for surgery uncertain what the surgeon would say. He came out after over two hours in surgey a grin on his face as he reported it had melted away. Melted away. So I wrote her a song, the lyrics are thus:

Hurt Melted Away


We glorify You that our hurts can melt away.
We praise and glorify, for another day.
All praise to You, we do glorify;
All praise to You, our hurts melt away.


So Eva, my prayer for you is that this hurt melt away, you are a blessing to me and each of us this and everyday.

on this day i am blessed that i was put through so much in my life already

force myself not a difficult thing
only the typing part can't ever find a
comfortable position

and can feel the appreciation be true

i am blessed getting phone calls from persons
who are dear too me

i am blessed my Christine and little Eva
are reunited and watch her in recovery
an addict clean and sober love her baby
in ways i never thought possible

i am blessed you all have a place
in your day to lift me up
and inspire me not allowing myself
to wallow in my crap

again waking up from restless sleep
reminded this is not a dream
but reality

dear Lord
give us this day our daily bread
help me do the work i have
been given
use me and humble me
take me out of my own way
as thy will be done

i am blessed each day given
exactly what was needed
you know me like no other

i am blessed with people
who are showing me
i can trust

bless all with your love
just enough
that wants them
coming back for more

can't wait to see my dog
a creature of your making
who licks my tears away
and brings me so much joy

i am blessed with another day
wouldn't have it any other way

am needed for those who need me
and be ready and help them in their need

the body and soul so much the same

receiving blessings both here and indeed
in God's pure grace

Thanksgiving Eve
 

Being asked by the Board of our Presbyterian Church to lead the Thanksgiving Eve service, I have been seeking God's inspiration. Sing the following to the tune of Shenandoah, and let me know if it resonates with you as it does with me:

It is interesting. Last night we shared dinner with friends at a Denver tradition==== White Fence Farm, family food, served in family portions to pass around and it was a blessed time. Paying the bill up front, I was asked "How are you?" answer "I am blessed, how are you?" The ladies at the register broke into smiles sharing their experiences at being blessed as well. Blessings are recognized all around us if only we ask. I explained I would be leading the Thanksgiving Eve service at our church since our pastor is ill with her back, and several more ladies/serving staff gathered around wanting to know where would this be? First Pres, Golden, I shared with them, focused on an open mic sharing of the blessings God has provided us. They spoke of how it puts such a better view to the world as we recognize our blessings though there be difficulties. Joy was shared. Thanksgiving has begun. Can we cause this to circle the world?
