Default Please can anyone help!?

I am asking this question because Im not too sure where to look for an answer on the actual forum and maybe someone might direct me or even have an answer.

For the past couple of years I look sight in my left eye in the evening and have 'flashes' in my eye. Basically, its similiar to having your photo taken with a flash camera and that 'flash' stays with you all the time. Now I dont have it during the day. I went to see an Eye Specialist and she said that there was nothing sinister there. This was after I had my eyes tested with the Optician.

In the last few weeks Im not getting awful headaches. These are there all the time and severe when I stand up. I do get very dizzy and 'black out' when I stand up. This could just be due to my anaemia Im sure as I also suffer with low blood pressure.

But for the past two days Ive now got this 'buzzing' going on in my head. Its like a fan has been left on and its driving me insane. I also have headaches and if I turn my head quickly it hurts even more. Ive had migraine twice in my life and I NEVER suffer generally with headaches. Ive taken some paracetamol today but the 'fan' is driving me mad.

Any idea's anyone?

Ive been on the internet and well I could have anything from tinnitus to a brain tumour! So thought Id just throw out the question!
I have read about leaks caused by my SCS!!! hmmmmm is that true?

I was told by my Eye Specialist that I would have some kind of field test done, which is the signals my eyes send to my brain, but am still waiting on an appointment.

So if anyone has ANY idea or even have had similiar and know what is up, please let me know

Thanks

Jackie

Shocked Go to general practitioner

Your eye issue at first reminded me of the prodroma or aura Cleo would get with classic migraine symptoms; HOWEVER, the light headedness, low BP, fainting, could be either medicinally related or present another issue your General Practitioner should know about. I have not had this combo, except when on a blood pressure management med which gave me a 79 over 39 and I was near to passing out especially upon standing up.

See your doc, please?

Thank you Mark as ever so reliable. I have seen my GP prior to my visit to eye specialist. It was he who referred me. But this 'fan' in my head is just unreal. But yes I will go back to him. And follow up with specialist. I thought I read about headaches and SCS so wanted to make enquiries.

Thanks again dear friend

Jackie

I have never had any of the issues relevant to lightheadedness, etc. due to SCS. Hmmmmm....... Sorry I was no real help. Almost makes one think of a vascular or pulmonary issue.... maybe your doc could weigh in.
Do take care dear friend!

Heart Jackie :(

So sorry you are dealing with this

It indeed sounds rather alarming....and alot of times when we first go to someone for answers, they will 'down-play' what is going on and imply it's probably 'only' an inner ear infection or something..... ?
But you've got multiple symptoms that have been going on for quite some time.
Oh how lovely it is to get 'passed around' with the medical team.

I hope you can find someone who will lock in to this and HELP you!
You surely can't go on with that buzzing sound in your head!
And that vision symptom has me VERY concerned as well!

Maybe you could see about trying to get in with an 'Ear, Nose, and throat specialist', as they can do indepth testing to see what's going on.....they might be able to piece all this together.....the headaches, vision symptom, constant buzzing noise....

I remember hearing that we could be at risk for spinal leak during the procedure of the SCS, but not sure that it would have anything to do with it now that you've had your unit this long.

How frustrating this is for you, Jackie, I'm so sorry
This is certainly NOT what you need!

I'm trying to think if NT has a forum here that would help us figure this out.
I'll do a search and tag it on to this post if I can find something, k.
or maybe someone else will know....

Caring Always
Rae

Jackie,
In case you are still trying to find out what is going on, I would definitely be checked for a CSF leak. The symptoms you describe are also symptoms of a leak......it doesn't mean that it is a leak, but worth checking out. Good luck in resolving this, if you haven't already.

Heart And

Referral to Neurologist to check the brain and associated nervous system with myriad electrical connections any of which may produce symptoms if at all damaged, out of whack, misfiring, and MRI studies along with neurological studies with all of the leads wired to the head complete the suite of inquiry thusly.

There is work to be done, dear Jackiey,
