Glad you have a date!

Mark, I'm so glad that everything is falling into place for your surgery! Isn't it nice when the medical folks we deal with are kind and compassionate? When you're hurt and in pain, you are sometimes so vulnerable and fragile....and tired of fighting for every little bit of relief. It's a true blessing when someone treats you with understanding. I've been very fortunate for the most part, and have found that the staff here at Mercy hospital as well as my drs. are very caring and competent.

Happy for you, my friend. Let the relief begin soon!!

Hugs,
Jan

Thanksful with you!

So glad this has been set up for just a few days away, Mark. Hoping/praying for an excellent outcome...and endurance and some relief, as only God can do sometimes, until then.

Thank You for ALL

Thank you so much to all of you for your prayer, encouragement and thoughts. Yup, we are set up for the surgery rebuild on 16 August at 5:30 am Mountain. Looking forward to this bigtime! Preop physical is the day before at 2:00pm. A mountain of paperwork complete with a description of the stack of hardware.

God is good, and I am going to have joy in the relief.
Blessed,

Starting to wonder...

Having not heard a peep from my doc's office this whole week I'm starting to wonder if I'm going to have my implant one week from today.

I need to set my emotions to accept it if it doesn't get pushed through the system in time.

Disappointment: The gap between expectation and realization.

Upcoming Implant Date

Andy
I hope there are no delays in your upcoming implant. I think most of us have had our schedules changed at one time or another. This will hopefully be a life changing opportunity that will bring relief to your issues. Sending good thoughts and prayers your way.

All will be well

Encouragement- phrases uttered to deliver one beyond the threshold of loss to the wondrous realization of Blessings. Call the doc. Confirm all is go. Be the initiative which overcomes inertia to grasp the goal. Our mutual needs will be all met and it will be well.

My Lord deliver me from agony which makes me nauseous......
Believing in all good things,

I'm so sorry to read of your agony, my new-found friend. I have indeed felt pain that literally makes you nauseous...it's miserable. Yet in the midst of it all we have a Comforter and Sustainer...in the midst of it all we can find inner joy and peace. Romans 8:28 never ceases to be true.

We are all with you Mark

Mark. I'm so sorry you have to have more surgery but it does sound like this is the answer. So roll on August 16th. We will all be praying for you and that the relief will indeed be instant.

29 August Buzzing Fine

How grateful I feel now to again be off of the pain meds and just back to my stim. It works wonderously and I feel blessed to have it. Even today, I was allowed an opportunity to speak with another of my surgeon's patients about SCS.

She, like us, is striving to make a decision and was looking for answers to questions. How blessed I felt to be able to provide some answers and thoughts regarding life with stim. So much better than the life I had before it!

So, today, my stim surgeon also the fine fellow who performed the fusion work on my neck recently gave me a green light to return to my office little by little beginning mid next week. How great is that? I am amazed two weeks ago to have had serious surgery and be allowed to reintegrate to the workplace next week.

Anticipating your cautionary thoughts, I will plan to take it easily, not wanting to disturb the fine physicians work. Also, I am continuing to drop weight in keeping with the chiding warning of the anesthesiologist-- 15 lbs down so far. Quite a few more to go, but....... I find in avoiding those double stuffed oreo sweets it helps. Moderation right? Moderation.

Well, I sign g'night to all who have prayed for me,
you will be in my prayers tonight,

It is SO GREAT having you back here posting again!!! You've been missed.
The prayers never cease around here, and it's plain to see they've been paying off.

It's going to be so wonderful to be able to put this nightmare behind you. We've got you back - better than ever - and for that we thank GOD!......and YOU - for minding all the rules.
Rae
