Gotcha...in my prayers!

Hey Mark,

So sorry about the icky side effects from the steroids! Although they can be wonderful and useful drugs, they also carry their fair share of not-so-wonderful stuff. I've never had such a large dose as yours, but I did have an unpleasant experience a few years ago when I was prescribed a one-week course of steroids for pneumonia. Felt like I was coming out of my skin and was so irritable, which is not like me at all. Got rid of the chest infection, though.

Hope today is a much better one for you, and that soon you will be feeling heaps and heaps better, with far less pain.

Keepin' you in my prayers,
Jan

SO THANKFUL you have Prayed

1. Doc let us know today the need to move forward to fusion of my neck as believed is the reality we face. OK. We can deal with this.

2. The near miss on Sunday was not just a bit of difficulty breathing, and this truly got Doc to breathing fire, righteous fire..... because the ER to which I was transported on Sunday failed to treat me for post surgical pneumonia, the issue with which Doc says I was struggling and which could very well have killed me Sunday night but for my lady angels, wife and daughter, who kept me wrapped in ice until the fever broke around midnight, a healthy immune system which resolved the pneumonia without benefit of antibiotics, and God's hands on the whole situation. The hospital sent me home with pneumonia when they had me there in the ER, had the films of my lungs showing fluid on the lungs and my fever was over 102. A real good job they did.

Appreciative for your prayers.
That I am,

Had hoped the fusion would not be necessary. Knowing your strength and fortitude; you will do whatever it takes to being productive and continue doing God's work.

The situation at the ER was downright awful and negligent. Is it lack of caring and just doing a job and not seeing a human being? Fear this may only get worse in the future. Thank God for your loving family.

ASAP for you,

Gerry

Yikes!

Wow, Mark.....so glad that they got the "pneumonia issue" resolved!! That's scary stuff, my friend! It's times and situations like this that I know beyond the shadow of a doubt that GOD is intervening as we are interceding! So now just take good and gentle care of you, our brother. And you can be sure that we will be praying for you and the docs as the plans are being formed for your fusion surgery.

Love, Prayers, and Hugs,
Jan

Thank you Sandy Kay :)

I was confused by that earlier message, but now I understand! I believe we are looking at C6-C7 because due to th edisc being blown, the C6 vertebrae is crushing the nerve roots which take off from the spinal cord from that level to serve both of my arms. Before the injections both arms were numb. I could not even hold a pen to sign my name, plus the pain in my right arm is beyond my coping mechanisms.

Looking forward to meeting my surgeon in a couple of weeks to discuss all options after this pneumonia episode is out of my system.

Thank you Sandy Kay,
Mark56:hug:zzzz
