I had stopped making pizza very much earlier this year. Once the mid-back incision stops hurting I will be back in the game again. I had a reasonably active day yesterday then spent 4 hours in a car. Today, I had no spasms; it has been a looong time since that happened. I look forward to some walking and core strength exercises in a month or two.

Smell that bread dough rising. Yeah... I like rolling it out, kneading it, mixing in seasonings, because pizza crust is very much a part of the enjoyment.... yeah.

More power to you Pizza!

YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can smell the dough rising too....been quite a while since I made my own pizza. Didn't realized I missed it untill started smelling the dough rising.

Then with all of that bakery aroma before the crust is in oven, the sauce is on the cooktop simmering as toppings are prepared.......... maybe instead of pizza at Pooh's we should have a virtual PIZZA party at Pooh's...... and just talk and talk until our vocal chords give out and the buzzing in our ears is comparative with the buzz of our stim??????? Yeah!

So happy I found this forum. I've been in one of the threads and dropped to the index and found this one. I'm in the trial-phase of my journey and enjoying a 90%+ reduction in pain so am on-board for the permanent...but am wondering what kind of recovery I'm looking at. I figure I'll have to take a week off work then come back with restrictions. While I can be very active in the job I do I can also do more sitting and delegating the physical stuff and relying on remote tools.

It's great that your trial is giving good pain control!

I was able to log into my computer for a few hours a day within 5 days of surgery. However, I could not work more than half time until about 2.5 weeks after surgery due to back incision pain in the afternoon.

Yo Andy, your Doc should give you work restrictionw right off the bat and let you know there is going to be some healing time...... so follow what they say if you want to allow your permanent device to "scar in" as it needs to do..... because if you go throwing hay bales and such, you could be in for a world of hurt..... Just not too soon, until Doc allows.

I checked out your pizzas, too, Pizzaman. Gotta say they look WONDERFUL!! My fave is Canadian bacon and pineapple, but my second fave is pretty much anything. Pizza party at Pooh's sounds delicious. Of course, we need music, too! I'll bring my guitar, Mark can bring his voice, and everybody else can bring whatever they can play....even if it's the rub board or spoons or a washtub bass!
