Thumbs up Scs is in!!!

It will be turned on tomorrow! pain about 9 in my back, about 4 in my butt lol, and 8 in legs due to those squeeze things which I begged them to take off due to the excruciating pain ugh! Anyway, feeling okay. I have walked twice so that's better than I expected. No problems with anesthesia! Anyway, wanted to update. Mark, I've been log rolling lol

Anyway, hope everyone else is well!

TK

Heart Prayin for ya TKaye

Your post implant pain profile matches mine fairly well, and it will lessen over time. Log rolling down? That is good to see, as it does help getting up and back down to bed.

I pray when it is switched on for you the blessings of it are readily apparent.
Prayin,
Mark56

Hi TK!!

So glad to hear that everything went well with your surgery and you are on your way to less pain! I'll keep you in my prayers and thoughts--let us know how you're doing, okay?

Hugs,
Jan

Yes, they switched it on and it is wonderful!!! Still extreme pain in the back. It's hard to get comfy too. Oh well, it will be worth it.

Default Give it time

Especially if you had a laminectomy as I did. Such a removal of bone produces the ouch you are feeling in mid-back, while routing the wiring to your generator will also produce pain. In time it will begin to heal and pain will subside from the procedure.

Prayin all will be well,

That's awesome! Mine went in yesterday. The path of the wires is just starting to hurt a bit. I get to turn mine on in 3 days. I can't wait! I hope your pain goes down quickly.

Isn't log rolling the only way to move about? I can't remember. All kidding aside, it is a good skill to aquire and continue to use as it is less stressfull on the old back. Best wishes.

Heart Log Rolling and other arcane trivia

Well Log rolling is the means [that is the least painful means to arise from bed or to return to it] while BLAST is the other memorable matter about this conundrum of movement, namely, do not Bend, Lift, Stretch, or Twist after the implant surgery until healing has occurred.

Yup,

Don't overlook BLAST. I was given no post procedure instructions the first time I had an scs trial. I did everything I wasn't supposed to. I did them very gently but never means NEVER. My trial failed big time. My guess is the leads migrated due to my movements. I will spare you the details. Best wishes. My scs trial is scheduled for Aug 7th. Deep cleansing breath. It only took me 15 years to work up the nerve.....and to become desperate enough, to try again. Different doc and I am a whole lot smarter this time around.
