Cool Festival was great!

Went to the bluegrass festival and heard some good tunes. One of my favorite groups, Monroe Crossing, was there so that was a real treat! I even got to chat with some of the members of the band--one of the nice benefits of bluegrass festivals. Now I'm paying for the drive and the long time sitting, but that's okay. Some pain is worth the music!

Thanks so much everyone, for all the great ideas and encouragement! I still have my reacher that they gave me after the fusion surgery, and that little gadget is something I don't know how I ever lived without. I still use it all the time.

Once I get this pain under control and get the permanent SCS in, I think we should have a bluegrass jam/party/celebration of our own! Yes, Rae, I play the guitar, also a little bit of mandolin, keyboard, autoharp, and harmonica. Oh, and I recently got a ukelele, but have a ways to go before it will sound pleasing rather than painful! Wouldn't it be fun to sit around and sing and play and compare our "war stories"? LOL! Well, if not here, then maybe someday up There! A few years ago my brother Joe and I made a CD of songs we've written over the years, and we had SO much fun! Nothing like playing and singing to heal the soul.

Tuesday's the day--I'll keep you all posted on how it goes. Tomorrow I'll do some last minute preparations around the house, so that I don't have to bend, lift, reach, or stretch once they put those temporary leads in my back. Thanks so much for the prayers, too. That means a lot, and I pray for you all continually as well. I figure you need the prayers and I need the practice...lol!!

Hugs all 'round,
Jan
