Default Has anyone ever been operated on and ...

... the surgeon wasn't able to place the paddle lead? My surgeon warned me that I have so much scar tissue it might not even be possible to fit a paddle in. Just wondered if anyone else had come across this before? Ten days and counting..

Heart Prayin All Will be Well

My dear Friend, try to take the disclosure as information which may, but not necessarily WILL affect your procedure. I have lived so many surgeries it became par for the course to receive disclaimers regarding "something might not work" and yet I Knew the next step was the course best pursued and my studies had indicated the choice alternatives were less appealing.

Sure, scar tissue could make placement more difficult, but none of this will become apparent in reality until you are in the operating theatre and the procedure begins to play out. Good thing is..... you will be sedated if your surgeon utters the passing swear word as any struggles are encountered. For my part, I am going to continue to pray all will be well and you will achieve best results.

Ten days and counting sounds good to me! I pray you will have a wondrous result as an early Christmas gift so holiday celebrations will be far more the festive and enjoyable!!

Hugging and Praying,
Mark56:Hear t:
and lots of HEART

Thumbs up

Mark has certainly lived to tell the tale, so I can't think of anybody more suited to answer your question more truthfully and completely!

10 days! My prayers are with you too, Karen. Just hold tight to the thought of a successful outcome.

Rae
