We do have to keep track of these things and speak up...not always easy ..Spine you seem to go over all your mental lists for every scenerio...keep at it for your own mental relief so you can go into surgery with less anxiety.

Thanks. These "little" details can have big consequences. Don't need that. The consequences have a way of popping up after I get home........all alone. Not good. Have a great day.

Default Good News

Orders for pre-op testing are in the mail and it will all be done across the street. It looks like there was a mistake somewhere. I am not going to make a big deal out of it as anyone can make a mistake...........once. I did tell the most appologetic surgeon that they had made their one mistake. He said he heard and understood what I was saying. We rang off on a good note. Ah, details.

Heart Saved by Grace

You, my friend, dispensed grace in a situation where need was real. My goodness, one would almost think a "neglected senior" was engaged in outreach which is meaningful...... GOOD JOB!

AND, I am feeling relieved and glad you now have pre op work on task.

Whew

in some cases i am sure lives have
been taken or mammed
i am sorry
as you are right mark
gracious she was
and yes we are human
in situations like this
no room for mistakes
how many times do we
go to the hospital for
a up coming surgery
you are asked every question
a person could stand to do it again
verbally over and over and over again
just to make sure they got the information
right
and then they operate on the wrong part
of the body
oh my friend
i never want to be short with anyone
in the medical field
they screwed up when i was there for CORISSA
25 days
my child SARAEVE could have died giving her the wrong meds
when i was in the hospital 19 days a i'm sorry

i think you understand my frustration
and then there was me not once not twice
but three times
and all three are screw-ups in one way or another

forgive me

Heart Dearest Friend

I, who am filled with screw ups of my own, am in no position to dispense forgiveness
You need no forgiveness here and in what you shared
those VERY REAL situations regarding your children and you
show what happens when things go wrong because someone is off task

Yeah, I wrote of sharing grace
and it is true Spine did thus
BUT, the situation illustrates nevertheless
VERY REAL TIME risk of medical care gone wrong

Once I took a ride to a hospital ER in the Siren Mobile......
I had been donating platelets [over time gave 15 gallons]
on that day, though, the tech hooked me up sloppily
things were backwards, wrong, out of kilter

The blood bank people were afraid I had a cardiac event going on
OOPS
oh my
one never wants to hear a medical anyone say "Oops" because life
hangs in the balance

So, you and I and Spine are of like mind in this dear Eva.
Worry and fret not
we have great love and respect for you and all your vulnerabilities
given freely here
for prayer
for help
being the Very Real YOU.

Grateful am I,
Mark56

Thank you for the undeserved compliment. I am afraid I totally blew my cool yesterday when I got home to find my neighbor had walked off from the cardiac unit and came home. Upon returning him to the unit, another gent and I discovered that he hadn't been missed.

I think ears are still burning across the street. Then I came home, got the phone number of one of his neglectful kids (nobody has visited him yet) and told her to call her sister and get their butts down here.

We all fall short. I try to keep that in mind in dealing with others but there is little wiggle room in the medical field. Sadly, too many of us have experienced that on a dangerous level. Have a great day.

Trig May their ears BURN

If Kiddos are neglectful...... then they need a big dose of Spiney's Special Salsa Screwup Straightener..... excellent for cleaning the digestive tract and superb for applying to the ears of kiddos who neglect......

Yes folks, Spiney's Special applied liberally to the ears of neglecting kiddos will catch their attention right away.....

AND, if you act now.... we will throw in Spiney's Superb Stilltifying Scar inhibitor. This special salsa formula will burn scars right off of skin to which applied. No longer must a patient wait long months for purple scars to calm to skin colored tissue. Burn them off with Spiney's....

BUT WAIT, there's more, if you are among the first five hollers, you may receive not one but two supplies of Spiney's Special Salsa, clearly the better treatment hands down when compared by dox the town over for ear boxing necessities.

Remember, Spiney's Salsa, in convenient 50 gallon drums, at a corner near you.

OK, we just need to get a truck from Rae or from Pooh, pick up a drum of Spiney's and hunt down those neglectful ones. They are certain to have the fear of NOD when they see vengeance filled pain buzzers flailing ladles of Salsa at their ears......

I'm ready. Neglectors Beware!
The time is NOW,
Yup,
