Default 1st Day after SCS trial

Hi Everyone,

Well yesterday I had my SCS trial started. The hospital was running a little late and it was a very long day but I am happy that it is over, for now.

I had no pain at all during the procedure, the anesthesia team made sure I felt nothing.
The rep from Boston Scientific was very nice and she met with me before and after the surgery. Unfortunately there was a problem downloaing the programs to my unit so for right now I have to adjust the unit for sitting, walking, laying down and so on.... I will see the rep and my pain Dr on Friday for the removal of the wires and to talk about if I go forward with the permanent unit.

Pain right now is pretty rough, I have 3 surgical sites and they are barely above my bum and over my left hip, like truly that low. So for now I can lay on my right side which is most comfortable, and lay on back carefully but only for a short while.

The feelings from the implant are so very WEIRD, I tried to describe to my husband but gave up. Then when I shut off the unit if I plan on a position change then it is a feeling like my legs are going to fly up in the air.

So overall I am pleased that I have gone to this step and I am keeping a outlook that it will work for me.

So I am off the rest for a while, I woke up at 4am when pain meds wore off and did not go back to sleep.

Thanks for all up your support,

Bye, Kim
