Default cross your fingers

I see pain man today for a regular appt and get to tell him that the surgeon's office ''can't'' tell me what time my surgery is on the 20th and preops haven't been ordered yet. He is going to have a fit that the revision hasn't been done yet. It was considered urgent six weeks ago.

No more surgery, regardless. Every surgeon who has worked on my back has turned into a horse's rear end after the initial slice and dice was over. I hope this next location works out well as I am sick of being stuck in bed. This idiot will discharge me on the same meds I came in with and won't give me a ''bump'' for a few days while the site settles down. I'll discuss this with pain man and see if he won't give me a ''bump'' now that I can stash away until the surgery. Once I have the revision, the surgeon will be in charge until he discharges me back to pain man. I will be so glad when this is over.

In spite of another call to the surgeon's office, I have no idea if I have a morning or afternoon surgery. The last time, I was the last one for the day, spent a minimal time in recovery and was barely awake when wheeled out........with no med increase for the next few days.

My daughter who lives where the surgery will be performed, will pick me up next Saturday and I will stay there for a few days. Hopefully, the device will stay put in the new location because this is it.

Default thank you, dear one.

This is the tenth operation of some sort on my spine and I am anxious now. It is ironic as this is rather minor compared to some of the others. He better get the device in the right spot this time or it could work it's way out too. I have been dealing with the pain for over 30 years now and have had it. Take care. Gentle hugs.

ever so gently indeed

my hands and feet
are bruising from inside out
i will feel the pain out of
nowhere and is painful for
about a minute
trust me that minute
seems forever
it happened a few days ago
my daughter was staying the night with
granddaughter
i got that described pain
on my right foot
side of big toe
i said watch i'll have
a black and blue mark
sure enough it was there within
hours
going to the "man"
today
pain specialist
when i do homework on it
don't like what it has to say

wishing all good
your way
