Default Wake Up Call

Well we are 4 weeks down and 8 more to go. Just had an interesting 7 to 10 days when everything was seeming to be back at where it was pre implant. To top it all off I wasn't feeling all that well and thought maybe that was part of the problem. It was also why I left off ringing up about the pain. I knew my PM was away on holidays, but when I rang the Nevro rep, I got a recorded message saying she was on leave as well. Made me feel real happy!! She left a contact number for another rep and ended up talking to him, following his suggestions without much success.

To have nearly 3 weeks of bliss and then for it all to come back, I was starting to get a bit paranoid about the leads. Went to a scheduled clinic appointment at my PM's office on Tuesday for a check up and the rep was there thankfully. Unfortunately she confirmed my worst fears about the leads, and an xray show that one lead had dropped slightly. To my amazement she was able to reprogram the system utilising the lead that was still in place. It looks like it has worked thankfully.

I don't know what I did to cause the problem, though the clinic nurse did say the leads can move on their own sometimes. But it certainly was a bit of a wake up call, to be even more careful. It's gonna be a LONG 8 weeks. But I am grateful to have got a second chance.

Phil
