Hello fellow CPAPers.
It is really really difficult to get that face mask adjusted correctly. DO look at those diagrams that are included. Plus, washing the silicone thing with Baby Shampoo and warm water is helpful. (I've been told that using hand soap to clean it can adversely affect your nasal membranes.) And make sure your skin is clean. If it is leaving deep indentations on your skin, it may not be correctly adjusted. A couple of thin pieces of spongy foam are helpful to protect your face. I found that eliminating the "ramp" time was better for me. That way the full air pressure blows almost immediately, rather than building up over 20 min. or so. Oh, and I trained myself to fall asleep lying on my back, rather than my side. I hate to say "hang in there", but there's just really no other way to get it figured out! Good luck and sweet dreams! One more thing: I always save my silicone masks so I can rotate them. Saves me from constantly having to wash one every single night!
